If it was from the 70s, CH mentioned it. The Vietnam War, bellbottoms, the energy crisis, disco, cocaine, orgies, the energy crisis, feminism, afros...did I mention the energy crisis?

This episode is basically an expanded skit from the "End of the Middle" episode back in Season 2 in the form of a "lost" 1970s episode of Childrens Hospital. It was pretty "Righteous!" if you ask me. But in reality, it was an okay episode that served its purpose and can be quickly put aside.

This episode was righteous! Jam packed full of 1970s references - filled with historical inaccuracies (Vietnam war ended in 1972, but this episode was based in 1976). Oh, and how did they not use this an opportunity for a Fonzie parody with Henry Winkler? 

Some random thoughts

- so the Chief is Indian.

- The Doors was a Vietnamese band, I just knew it!

- Up your nose - with a rubber hose

- Was I the only one expecting Glenn to break down, screaming "IT WAS A BABY!!!!" (even though it's a reference to an episode of MASH that aired in the early 80s)

- dam, dam, dam! 

- Cocaine, that's what got into me!

 - Butterfingers!

- My father was a hotdog, and he was murdered

- All-out orgy, was this the objectionable content? No.....it was probably the depiction of a female doctor on television.

I think the  Taxi Drivers card said Rupert Pupkin,Kings of Comedy reference?But the actor playing the Taxi Driver looked familiar,anybody come up with a name?

Finally got to see it, I enjoyed the episode.


But I gotta say that my favorite part was all the Nam stuff and the end You can't tell me it didn't move alittle when you saw blake and owen in the end.

The actor was Mike Starr. He's a character actor that's been in a ton of different films, usually playing thugs or henchmen. Probably most recognizable from "Dumb & Dumber"  as the guy who Harry and Lloyd accidentally kill with rat poison.

I was moved to tears.

I thought it was a great episode. It's nice to see that CH hasn't completely given up on building within its own universe.

My favorite part was when Lola was informed that a patient refused to be treated by a woman doctor, then there was a long, dramatic pause, then Lola called him a dick.

I also loved when they played Operation, or Connect Four, or whatever they were doing. "Buttuhfingahs!"

I still have to catch up on last week's episode.
