Why would they not plan to renew this?

Please renew China IL. I joined the board just to say this. It's the funniest show on AS in my opinion. Please make more! I love it, and at the risk of sounding like a douche, am an Age 29 white male making $100k/yr or more, meaning probably an important target demographic for your advertisers. Thanks.

This is exactly what I made this thread for, to reach out and touch [AS] public presence directly. It's the only real way to respond to them.

I love Brad Neely. His comic was awesome and his internet cartoons were some of the best ever made. But I think this was an example of someone being forced into a format they weren't meant for. He shouldn't need plotlines, he shouldn't need filler characters or conflict or any of the other nonsense that has to be included to turn his stuff into television. He is what television is trying to turn itself into. He is part of the internet entertainment revolution. Having him televised was wonderful, as it showed how much the focus has shifted towards the internet. But turning the internet into television is not what moves things forward. If he's best in two minute segments, or whatever format he feels most comfortable in, that's what he should do! Is anyone else who loved the professor brothers or baby cakes disappointed to see them in this new format? Don't you think they were better off as they were?

Neely's origional internet works are short compressed works that took however long to make and this new tv format I would wager would definately force him to come up with new interesting things in new ways. I enjoyed the show so very much and pleas let there be more.. please?

I loved the internet shorts. They were brilliant for exactly what they were. They weren't really meant or seen as the precursor to this episodic format.
But the China, IL show is a completely new evolution. It just happens to have some of the same characters as the old shorts. It stands on its own merits. It's funny, it's original, and it's surprising.
There's no need to try to compare the two, they are totally different works of art. And I like this show for exactly what it is. I hope it continues. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

See how many people join when [AS] warns that something is in danger? That's called dynamic advertising.

Vash's bump requesting more China, IL reached Adult Swim. Where exactly did he post that bump? That's where Adult Swim's eyes are. We need to go there and make all future statements there from now on.

Probably costs too much to make. They're hellbent on bringing more live action crap.

I REALLY NEED THIS SHOW TO COME BACK WITH A SEASON 2 ON ADULT SWIM AND FOR IT TO BE ON THE "permanent" LINE UP. I MADE THIS ACCOUNT JUST TO REACH THE A.S. ADVISORS TO LET THE KNOW THAT THIS IS POSSIBLY THE BEST SHOW YOU GOT

Neely's too far ahead of his time. The Baby Boom episode reverses plot like four times in 15 minutes, plus a music number.
I think the format suits him just fine.

We hopefully will know if China, IL is getting a second season at the Adult Swim Upfronts on May 16th.
