He tried that already.  It wasn't pretty.  One of the male characters raped one of the female characters because he loved her.  The rapist was portrayed sympathetically.  The victim fell in love with her rapist.  Enough said.

Well, how specifically original do you want it to be? Completely absolutely ideal which is impossible in real life original? Or something that contains an overall original concept?

Because the latter is what I think of when the word originality comes to mind.
