Code Geass

I think AS needs to fight to get the rights back to Code Geass. It's an awesome show and deserves to be shown. It has a large fan base and that has to count as something, especially when the new Code Geass: Akito of the Ruined Land comes out. That way we can see them on AS.

I'm going to answer my own post. Hope nobody minds?

I just noticed that they need to remake the Code Geass anime. The clothes don't completely match and the way the events pan out don't completely match either, but the animation style was superb and so was the anime but I like it best when everything matches as close as possible to the manga. To me, it makes for an even better show. I mean, it's working for FMA.

But seriously, it would be nice. Get the show back and then build up a constant fanbase level [by maybe not screwing with the schedule during it's run] here to prep for the new CG project should that one come over. It's the only way I'm likely to see it since I don't go for the torrents.

I'm thinking, however, that in order for [as] to get those rights back, it would come with some rather stiff stipulations. [as] hasn't always cared to be told how and what to do with their stuff by 'outsiders'.

You do know that the anime came first, right?  Technically, you should want them to redo the manga to match the anime.

No, I didn't know the anime came first. Normally it's the manga (that comes first) then the anime (that comes second). Thanks for the heads up about the anime coming before the manga. 

I'm reading Code Geass: Knightmare of Nunnally. So if, they make that into an anime they had better keep it close to the manga (it's pretty good, so far). If they do, keep the animation style, original voices, and everything else. Agree?

I also can't wait to see the New Code Geass anime.

Yeah, sarcasm is hard to put into words.  I know that manga-to-anime is usually how it works.  Code Geass is one of those that did didn't take inspiration from an already established source.  Frankly, I don't see that as a bad thing.  Good anime doesn't always need to come from a manga.  It just needs to come from good ideas.

Frankly, I'd rather see the anime go into new stories and plots rather than doing what the mangas has already established (like how the new anime is being done).  Though I'd love to see a new Code Geass series that continues the story of Lelouch.

I would absoultely love it if [as] got the rights to Code Geass back. If it hadn't been for this show I prolly wouldn't have gotten back into anime. I gave up after Toonami began it's slow and painful death.

Petitions never work. You'd have just as much luck praying. 

The fact is, [as] bought the rights to Code Geass for a set amount of time.  The contract ran out and [as] chose not to renew it.  The ratings just weren't there.  It seems like a lot of fans watched it online instead of on TV.  If you really want to watch the series, buy it on DVD, just like I did.

I'll watch it as long as it isn't relegated to the asscrack of dawn because I will fall asleep or around the same time as "God, the Devil and Bob" because if I close that night, I'll miss it anyway.

Does any one know the chanes of as even trying to get it back? I want to watch it again berfore the new one comes out. I also don't want to resort to looking it up online ( which I've had to do with other good anime :/)

I actually do know the chances of that.  It's 0%.  For a couple of reasons, [as] will never air Code Geass again.  I sympathize that you don't want to resort to watching them online.  I hate watching anime online due to lower video and audio quality, much smaller screen, and a slow computer.  The only thing you can do is go out and buy the DVDs.  Regular or Limited Edition, depending on your preferences.
