 Just Nuke Everything: The Code Geass Hate Club

After watching lots of Code Geass, both R1 and R2, I've come to the conclusion that pretty much everyone on this show is despicable. I made this club for people who feel the same, but are still watching this show for some reason.

You might be wondering, why don't I just take this to Action Show Hatred Funhouse? Simple. Code Geass isn't like most other anime. If I was just ranting about anime, or the ACTN block in general, I would, but Code Geass is outstandingly frustrating. To take it to the Funhouse is to say that other anime come close to how bad it is, but I don't want to send out that message. Most of the shows in the Funhouse are good, and I don't want to be a part of it's bashing. What I want to do, is say, "Pretty much every anime is better than Code Geass", and I stand by it. Not since Eyeshield 21 has a monster of such vile stripe reared its ugly head.

Why "Just Nuke Everything?" Because it hearkens to a nation missing in Code Geass's timeline, America.

You see, my hate for these people spans so wide, it covers opposing parties. I hate the Black Knights. I hate several people in the Brittannian Military. I hate Nina. I hate Kallen. I hate Lelouche, I hate Suzaku. I hate Euphemia, I hate Milly, and GOD HELP ME DO I HATE C.C. Several of these people are knocking heads themselves, so whose side am I on? If I hate the Black Knights, shouldn't I in turn like the Brittannian Military? If I hate Lelouche, shouldn't I in turn like Suzaku? Pretty general, but you get my point, right? Well, the thing is, I am on neither side. And not for specific reasons, for every reason. I hate these people for every possible reason. Everything they do is wrong, they are bad people, and have ruined the show entirely for me. So I'm a third party who wants to take out every side. I want to "Nuke Everything", just get rid of the whole production, just like America did in WWII with the bomb. Final solution: Just Nuke Everything.

America "solved" WWII by plainly nuking Japan, my idea is that someone should just nuke Area 11 and kill all of them. Then leave the immortal C.C. to wander the empty plains alone for eternity. If America was still around in this time, and McCain was president in this time, you can bet that would be Plan A once they got intel that some "commies" were in Japan cooking up revolution.

Here, we who have little patience left for this "artistic tour de force" as the critics so name it, will establish our OWN nation, a nation standing against Code Geass, a nation where we can hopefully get requitement for our hatred and eventually find closure.

Oh, and every week I'll be reviewing each episode and how it was horrible. Because that's what people with any kind of outlet do: Rant. It works for the blogosphere!

Another reason McCain would rush to Brittannia's side and nuke Area 11: As of current, England is America's truest friend. In Code Geass time, they're all living only a few short years from right now. I think Britain and America would still be friends.

It seems kinds pointless to come to place for Code Geass fans and just complain about the whole dang show. Can't you just kinda go complain about it in corner or something?

Plus I believe there are more people who hate this show as much as I do, more or less. Either they hate it a little more, or hate it a little less. People who hate this show are still watching it for some reason.

Oh I know people hate the show. I mean it's been called a trainwreck, something so bad that you can't help but watch it, many a times. I just find it odd that someone would really just come to a site for fans of a show just to complain about it. But like you said, it's your corner.

Oh, and if this club goes along well enough, I concede to Ciddy. She can run unopposed to claim the rights to the C2 Hate Club, because this club will be covering all topics related to C2 hatred, and the hatred of the rest of this motley crew of thorns in my side as well.

I'll probably post a review tomorrow of the last episode that aired, or maybe I'll wait until Monday and post one for Episode 19. I want to review Episode 18, because that's when things start really happening.

Is this really a board only for fans of Code Geass?

I made this thread because I thought there were also people who hated it, but wanted to discuss it. But yeah, this does seem like a more "Fans Only" place.

I would have made it somewhere else, but this is the only place where I can find people who hate Code Geass specifically. I'm not looking for people who hate anime in general, or the ACTN block in general, or people who hate only most anime and like a few others (although I'm not barring them, they probably hate Code Geass too), I'm looking for people who hate Code Geass specifically for the reasons that set it apart from other anime. I'm looking for people who hate Code Geass for it's Code Geassiness.

That's another reason people might be watching this show. They're waiting for someone to get their comeuppance.

I used to be that kind of person. I was told that Brittannia as a nation would be vindicated, and the racism they exhibit would be explained and accepted. But that's not the case, and in all of the episodes of Code Geass I've seen, it's the same thing: Brittannians are for the most part, racist bad guys.

But what sucks the most, is that they're downplaying this. It's like Okouchi is saying, "Okay, Brittannians are bad guys, now let's forget all of that unfair disparaging and move on to something else!" I can't just ignore that. Why Brittannia? If it's for the reasons I think, then it was unfair of him to cast Brittannia in the light he did.

But he and his cronies have sidled off and aren't even being QUESTIONED about the issue anymore. So you can see why I'm bitter. This was the first reason I considered hating this show.

Point in case, I love Geass because it has genuinly made me hate one faction and want Lelouch; not the Black Knights, not Zero - to win.

More to the point, it makes me connect with the charecters like no other series has done before, I can see Suzakus mind and god ** dragon breath ** it I hope he ends up immortal for what he has done.

Well I'm pretty sure this forum was made with Code Geass fans in mind. And you really should not expect haters to just pop up here. In fact you may just get a bunch people hating on you. And if you want to look for a place that hates Code Geass... I think that some people at 4chan's anime section hate the show. Although I would not go there if I were you.

Okay.... that's a little bit (read=very) irrelevant, but I see where you're coming from. Britannians being racist bad guys with the Social Darwinism society is just a background and motivation for most of the ignition actions of the show, but it isn't a huge plot device.... just a background motivation and another reason to hate Britannia

We're not just discussing how much we hate it, we're questioning "why".

This hatred is grounded in frustration. How the hell do the things in this show pass for valid ideas? Without answers or even speculation, the whole thing just seems stupid. Brittannia as an antagonist seems stupid. The whole thing with C.C. and Mao and Lelouche and C's World seems stupid. Lots of things that I can't mention right now without a spoiler filter seem stupid. Issues outside of Code Geass that are related to individual episodes seem stupid. It spreads wide, and our goal is to find closure.

Also, if people don't want to gather just to discuss how much they hate something, what do they want to gather and do?

I've connected with these characters, though not to the point that other series have, and I can also see why Suzaku (even Lelouch) should get what they deserve.... I don't want a bad ending for Lelouch; he's lost so much already, so I ALMOST feel bad for him... I want him to succeed and overpower his temptations and the role his father held b/c he's the main character (protagonist even!)!

I've been there. S'alright. I've seen enough shock to journey through 4chan strong.

But that's a group of people who hate mostly every anime. I would get a bunch of people that hate Code Geass for reasons that it shares with other animes. I want people who hate it for the reasons that make it different.

It seems stupid - but thats because you're on episode 18 of a 50 episode series.

Look up Norse Mythology, specificly Ragnarok as mentioned by the Emperor in episode 1 to get a general idea of what the writers are trying to setup.

Brittania is a nation of exiles who even as refugees outclassed the locals and carved an empire, they beleive that only through competition can they evolve and seek recognition. The idea of social darwinism works, it has its benefits as does it's weaknesses, as do all governing systems and ideologies.
