SOME Britannians are "bad" or "Ignorant". The country was the antagonist, not the people (except the military, which counts as the country itself)

The "regular" citizens, when they're shown, are always shown to be people who look down on Japanese citizens. In the first few minutes of the last episode, nobles and schoolkids alike were opposed to Suzaku, an "Eleven", getting to be a Major. That depicts them as ignorant people with no basis for their hate besides that Suzaku isn't a Brittannian.

Debatable based upon the context of ignorance....

An 11, a part of the conquored underclass of Brittania gaining a fair chunk of military power within it.....

Would be a bit silly to give someone who could potentialy defect at any moment to the enemy and have a good reason to do so a high NCO pancake and the Solopwn.... I mean Lancelot to boot. I say it would be ignorant to ignore the fact that he could betray Brittania fairly easily, we just so happen to have the privalege of seeing his charecter development and inner monolouge, the Brittanians don't.

That reminds me, let's do a review of that episode before Friday.

==============================================

Episode 18: I Order you, Suzaku Kururugi

Okay, so it opens up to a submarine with some Black Knight trash harping on about their ill-gotten gains from Rakshata, while Rakshata gets high off of her dutch. Bravo, Black Knights. Have fun striking a blow for "justice" or whatever. Ledouche then holds a meeting on the submarine and passes out chore duties for the Black Knights. Tohdoh gets to be the military guy, and Riethard gets to be the intelligence guy, much to the Black Knight's whining. It's to be expected, he's Brittannian! He's "one of them"! This moment does nothing but give Ledouche fodder as someone who "sees beyond their ignorance". Ohgi got Deputy Commander, Rakshata got to be their scientist, Kallen got to be the leader of Ledouche's special club of hired guns, Tamaki got a throwaway job, and C.C. got to be C.C. She then twirled her finger in her hair like a slut and I almost quit watching.

Riethard mentions that there's some old business to take care of, and the scene transitions to that "old business". What is this old business? What do do with Spinzaku. The scene? His knighting as Major. Dissent among Brittannians is palpable. It's to be expected. He's an Eleven! He's "one of them"! But unlike the Japanese, the Brittannians don't have "Well, they took over our homes!" to fall back on. I guess they're just not fond of Japanese people. But let's just "ignore" that. No one cares about Brittannia. They're the "bad guys". Let them be bad. After the knighting, Lloyd notices the room is quiet, so he claps alone. After a while, everyone else starts reluctantly clapping. I'd be bitter too.

Back on the Black Knight Boat, Riethard says that because Spinzaku is a pro-Brittannia Japanese citizen who's inspiring a small pro-Brittannian upsurge in Japanese people, they need to kill him. If he keeps doing that, the Black Knights will eventually look bad. It's not like they were doing well in the first place as far as the "public eye" was concerned, they were only popular with Elevens and a few defective Brittannians. Riethard thinks that if they kill Brittannia's Japanese poster boy, Japan will stop "accepting" their Brittannian overseers. But Ledouche says no. He's "above" assassination, and besides, he wants to take care of Spinzaku personally. Back in Ledouche's personal quarters, C.C. was fat and lazed around, and said things that were stupid. Ledouche reveals he doesn't want to Geassify Spinzaku and solve the issue entirely, making himself look dumber than C.C. is, warranting a swift kick in the sack plant, as no one should be dumber than C.C. He then wonders if he'll have to kill him if he doesn't Geassify him. He thinks that he can take Door Number 3 and get him to join him instead.

Back in Euphie's room, she talks to Cornelia about the knighting. Cornelia is passive-aggressive about the whole thing, as Spinzaku is an Eleven. Euphie's all, "But he's strong and brave and moral and stuff! He's the best one!" If this ideal about Brittannians celebrating people of strong spirit holds true, Cornelia should consider this and think on it some more. But NO, she retaliates by saying that as an Eleven, he is required by the state to be second rate. The high and mighty Euphie then takes a stand and says, "Well I'm gonna change that! You'll see, and then you all will wish you were nicer to me!" Cornelia is taken aback, and probably regretted that they were separated by satellite line, as I would wager she would have ripped Euphie's tongue out of her throat. It's the right thing to do. Self-righteous bitch that she is. Enjoy your precious alternative Knight choice. I'm sure you feel "special". I'm sure you want "redemption" for your new Japanese hero. I hope someone bombs your house.

In a weird adjourn that I can't get into very much right now, The Emperor Of Brittannia briefly discusses the Thought Elevator and some sneaky shenanigans by Schneizel, Ledouche's brother.

Back to Ledouche's school! They're holding a party for Spinzaku. Seems a lot of Brittannian kids are there. This contradiction does NOT, however, alleviate Brittannia from the bias its citizens are famous for. Spinzaku is a council member, and the party was Nunnally's idea, she had to find people willing to come. What's more, they're celebrating his knighting. As far as that few is concerned, he might as well be Brittannian. Long story short, if most Brittannians were as tolerant as this little shindig would like to suggest, there'd be a lot more disapproval from Brittannian citizens. But they're not a problem, are they?

Nina, not going to the party for being one of the many who don't like Japanese people, took a break from looking at ** dragon breath ** porn to stare at an isotope. Lloyd walked in and saw it on the screen, and they both geeked out and traded Pokeyman cards. Back at the party, Kallen tried to kill Spinzaku, but failed. Too bad. Lloyd then arrived on the scene to pick up his baby boy because he had to go clean his room. He also dropped the bomb on the fact that he and Milly are gonna be hitched. Rivalz then emo'd out and went to go put his todger in a stuffed animal with Milly's face plastered on it.

On their boat, Spinzaku was sailing off to meet this guy. Ledouche decided to gather up his Black Knights and take advantage of a naval area strike, because they can't really fight in this situation. His plan? Capture Spinzaku and his Gundam. That way, he could persuade him to join the Knights. Euphie's ship finally docks, and they get ready to move out and meet this guy. But the Black Knights blow up headquarters. Time to get Euphie out of there and back to Japan! She tells Spinzaku to stay and help them defend headquarters. But the liaison doesn't want any. Spinzaku's Japanese and he'll defect to the Black Knights! Lloyd decided to quell the issue by telling him to do what Euphie says, because SHE'S Sub-Viceroy and if he doesn't do what she says she'll tell on him. So he did. Euphie told Spinzaku to fight hard so that Brittannians will maybe think of him as a human, and he goes off to get suited up for battle.

All of the Knightmares start trading blows, and Spinzaku finds Ledouche. He swoops in to take him out, but Rakshata presses a button and gives all of the Knightmares the magnet effect. Now his doesn't work. Brittannian forces decided that they can use Spinzaku for their own personal gain and win this battle. They tell him to keep Ledouche there so they can blow everybody up, including Spinzaku. So he does. Good boy. But no ginger snaps or tummy rubs for him, he's gonna die. Euphie gets scared and tries to help Spinzaku, but they're all, "No, we have to do this. Besides, he's an Eleven, they're like bomb sniffing robots. We'll just get another one!"

Down on the ground, Ledouche begs Spinzaku to please join his special club. The Japanese people will be happy at him if he does! But Spinzaku says no. Fighting Brittannia is bad. As far as he's concerned, Brittannia could be good if he "changes" it. Brittannia isn't even good enough for their own poster boy. Spinzaku gets the order to hold Ledouche down, and he does, even though he's gonna die. Kallen almost tries to step in, but doesn't. Euphie tries to stop what's going on, but the liaison from before says that someone went over her head and now he doesn't have to do what she says anymore. Point Liaison. But Euphie decides she's gonna stand in the way of the attacks. They won't hurt her!

As Euphie rushes to the battlefield, Kallen does too. Maybe if she reveals herself to be his classmate, Spinzaku will stop fighting! Spinzaku puts Ledouche in his Knightmare. Ledouche reminds him that he'll die if he does this. Through a mixture of stubbornness and holding fast to his original brilliant master plan, Spinzaku decides to stare at Ledouche like an idiot and pretend he didn't say anything of consequence. As everyone in the area gets ready to die, Schneizel appears on the scene and shoots everybody.

Everyone then died, completing the Code Geass series.

THE END!

I can just imagine. Her tears would probably be the stuff of some salaryman leafing through a newspaper. She's so listless, she doesn't even show any emotions she might be having. What does she care? We'll never know, she's basically an android.

C2: "Lelouche, I was browsing the Adult Swim forums..."

Lelouche: "Did they bring back Cowboy Bebop yet? After re-ups got taken off the Saturday airings I pretty much dropped out of the following. Oh, and how's Ciddy? She's my favorite."

C2: *lazily looks off to the side, creating an awkward silence*

C2: "I saw a lot of slanderous post, Lelouche, they all hate me..."

Lelouche: "Hmmmm... Well, I can think of several reasons they might be a little impatient with you, but you shouldn't worry about it..."

C2: <extradeadpan>"Now I'm very sad. They all hate me now."</extradeadpan>

Lelouche: "Whoa... just... just take it easy C.C., don't do anything rash..."

C2: <moardeadpan>"No. I'm mad as hell. I'm going to spend my rage by eating this whole pizza."</moardeadpan>

C2: *calmy lifts a slice and bites it with her usual glazed look in the eye*

Lelouche: "Whoa! C.C. calm down! You're not acting yourself, you're acting crazy!!"

C2: <monodrone>"They want to see an animal? Well, here I am, I'm a monster, I'm out of control and no one can stop me."</monodrone>

C2: *finishes a slice, then lies down*

"C2's fervid rage was too much for Lelouche to handle. She eventually got out of control and went as far as threatening to take a nap, wake up, and spout some bullcrap rhetoric that doesn't help anyone. Lelouche retreated from the room and locked her inside, hoping that being alone would eventually calm her down..."

I missed what you said.

If you "censored my opinion" for the better, as in, maybe answered a question somehow with it, then you shouldn't get rid of it, it wasn't censorship, it was a valid point.

Don't forget, she'd probably talk aloud to herself for no reason, too.

hmm.... i guess ill post in this thread.

i wouldnt go as far as to say i hate this show. its just its become something that im not all that crazy about it its become more or less a show to watch just to watch.. to entertain me for 25 mins. or something.. its nothing to go ZOMFG ETZ TEH BEST SHOW EVAR!! or even anything to be like "yeah i like it" and most of me is just watching it just to finish it... i generally dont like to drop anything once i start it unless its soooo freaking gawd aweful i cant stand its name let alone watch it. anyways it hasnt reached that.

and in some parts i kinda like it sometimes.. but the show as a whole im not that crazy about.. i like some char (tohdoh cuz hes badass and ZOMFG BLUM!!!!111!!) i like suzaku i think hes cute.. i think suzakuy and euphy make a cute couple.. also lloyd his voice is soo secks!!! but those are mostly the fangirl in me.. like.. the char. dont rly seem to ahve much.. development to them. maybe it goes more into that in the 2nd season. but so far it seems the chars. are kinda hollow.

anyways, there yay my post (waits for the fans to be alllike OMG I CANT BELIVE YOU SAID THE CHAR ARE HALLOW I H8 U NAO!!!!) but its true... and this is the CG hate club anyways soo i guess its ok to let that out >_>

Code Geass is horrible. It was good for awhile until about episode twelve or so of the first season and everything went downhill from there, and it's still continuing going downhill in R2. It became horribly paced, the script deteriorated, and well, it became a huge train wreck. That said, it's amazingly entertaining to watch because of its few great characters getting caught up in such a storm of crap of recycled anime plots and cliches. Actually, despite it being a giant mess its one of the few anime series I can bear to watch these days.

Sure, I'll join the hate club just because.

You know, I'm thinking almost the same thing.  I don't like it anymore, but when I start watching a show I usually stick with it to the end, which is why I'm still here.  I just want to know what happens.  However, if something happened that caused it to be pulled from the air forever, I wouldn't really be disappointed.

I freaking hate two character within the show, the rest I dont really give a rat's @$$. Because emotional, big eye, mid-teens characters do get emotional and naive like your average teen drama. But back to my point, I hate these following characters: Suzako and Kallen.

Sazuko, pretty much a hard headed, naive, over emotional, unrational little twit.

Kallen, unstable, over emotional, unrationalable, naive little ** dragon breath **.

Now, Nuking the whole series is a little too much and it only dumbs itself to the level of the child vibe of this show. What everyone need in this show is a nice big bowl of herbs and bask onto the smelly good odor as everyone sits back, relax, watch themselves compromise and build a United World. Just like in Samurai Champloo's Beatbox Bandits episode 9 :smileywink:

sigh.... Gundam beats the smack out of this ** dragon breath ** cartoon show.

Nooooooooooooo! D=

Nuke everything! I can stand no one on this show. I just can't put up with them! I wouldn't want a world with them in it.

Y'see, I hate each one of them for everything they are. Every prominent trait about them has some bad correlation, or causes something bad to happen. Take Nina Einstein for example. I hate her for everything she is. I hate her for being a racist. I hate her for being a lesbian. I hate her for being a scientist. I hate her for being in love with Euphemia. I hate her for rocking that table in the still of the night. Any "thing" you can name about her, I can probably explain why it should not be so.

Actually, Code Geass is my favorite show ever. I liked it from the start and it gets better and better every week.
Why hate what isn't bad. Code Geass is the greatest anime [as] ever got.
