Unfortunately, much of the business world for the last 40-50 years hasn't been based on intellect. It was based on cheap deals and cutthroat tactics. Good things to do if you only look at the short-term. But those things tend to backfire as the last couple of years as shown. The business world is not run by the most intelligent of the bunch but by those who paid their way in, got in through parental contacts, or focred their way in. And now, when an intelligent plan is needed, there's no one smart enough to come up with one. It's the reason why so many businesses (who were previously juggernauts of the industry) are dying to supposedly small-time up-and-comers.
I agree with the schooling. I found it way too easy. It just couldn't hold my attention. I never remember exerting any effort in school or college. I did the bare minimum because I found the tasks boring and trivial, and still received good grades. If I wanted to, I could have aced everything, but that would have involved some effort. I figured there's really no difference between an AB or B+/A- (depending on your school) and a straight up A or A+. Employers don't see your grades anyway. Not unless they request a transcript, something I've yet to encounter.
