Here is the latest promotional poster from the February issue of Newtype Magazine 2010.

AFAIK this picture is for THE NEW PROJECT not the new picture-drama/Lelouch Birthday DVD coming out in April.

Let me know if I'm the only one who had a WTF? moment when you see which female character is center-stage in this image.

Oh that is an amazing pic.

Though I wouldn't draw too much from it, it's merely a promotional poster and it's not explicitly stating anything.

But that is a very interesting pic.  I'm starting to think that they just really, really like teasing the Code Geass fandom by throwing these pictures out there.  How mean.

As much as I don't want to speculate..

Maybe they are redoing the series?

Like a do over/ what if kinda thing.

What if Euphie didn't die What if Lulouch as zero did what she wanted him too. I mean he DID agree. What if his Geass didn't go out of control that day? Things would have been very different. Nina would have never gone **meep**, but also she would have never been picked up to help create the Fleia Or even what if Lulouch and Nunnally were found out early that they were successor's to the throne. There is PLENTY they could do in a what if type story is all I'm saying.

Thus creating a whole new story line..

I'd be excited to see that.

I'm going with Winter_Rain on this one.

Euphie (who's only in the first season) is in the picture alongside Lelouch and Suzaku who are wearing outfits from R2.

So maybe they just took the three characters that new people would be most interested in seeing (to get more people to watch the series). But if I'm right, I have to wonder why they didn't include Nina f**king the table... that DEFINITELY would've drawn in some new fans.

Because there isn't enough space on a regulation poster for that kind of thing.

It could be that Euphie was put in this poster by mistake, perhaps the artist was supposed to put C2 there but screwed up.

OR

Sunrise is suffering from Obessesive Compulsive Resurrection Disorder (like in GSD) and we are either being trolled, getting a re-make of R2, or perhaps an R3 where Euphie and Lelouch are resurrected somehow (why does that sound so familiar? ).

Anyhoo, we'll just have to wait and see, but one thing is for sure "Something Worth-it this Way Comes"

Yeah kinda. If Lulouch had never lost control things would have been VERY different.

Or even what if Suzaku had joined Lulouch from the very beginning, that they never had this rivalry, right after 'Zero' saved Suzaku from being put to death. Or hell what if Lulouch hadn't gotten to him in time at all? There are SOOOO many events in the show, even if ONE was changed even in the slightest you could have a whole new plot to play with.

How could they resist playing with it?

You mean they should do a sequel?  That would probably be good, but I could see them putting together a Geass: Brotherhood, I'm thinking that might be the most likely case.

It wouldn't really be the same thing since FMA:B is based on the manga rather than an alternate retelling of the FMA anime story.

For a Brotherhood-like scenario, there would have had to have been a manga that Code Geass was based on.

a sequel or even prequel canon (which doesn't necessarily have to be C2 based, another code bearer per se). Hell, a sequel with or w/o LL would be a blessing especially if there were an introduction of an.................................older 30 something C2 (lost code and gets to live a normal life {span}). i can dream. until then, i'll sit and wait and move on to other things.
