Has Bebop ever caught any big bounty's?

I mean seriously like 90% of the time the bounty gets away and the Bebop crew has to get out of some screw up they got into. Maybe thats why they're always starving because they're really some bad cowboys XD

Nothing that didn't immediately get subverted into repairs and expenses that takes up most of the money. The whole point of the series is that they live in perpetual poverty.

No big bounties.

I don't know that they were bad cowboys, per se.  I think Spike and Jet had too big a heart for some of them.  Spike broke off chasing Hakim to save the dog.  He would have had a hard time anyway because that truck from the lab was chasing him too.  That was just plain bad luck, IMHO.  Same with Asimov.  Same with the guy in Gateway Shuffle.

Jet could have gotten the bounty on Chessmaster Hex, but the old guy was completely senile, but they DID know about the vulnerability of the gate system. They could have squeezed some dough out of the corporation, but all Jet asked for was for them to leave him alone so Ed would have her chess partner.  Of course, the guy DIES right after winning that game against her.  SIGH.

I think they weren't bad, they just had horrible luck.

You know what?  I said 'no big bounties' but that might have been wrong.

I just watched Brain Scratch again last night and there was a big one on Londes.  Well, they caught him, Jet put the handcuffs on the kid and left with Ed.  Don't know if they were able to collect the bounty on him (I would think they SHOULD because they did find out where he was).  If they did collect, they didn't show it.

It would stink if it turned out to be another case like MPU in Jammin' With Edward where they won't pay on a non-living subject. :smileytongue:

A lot of them died in the beginning. We don't actually see one get caught until after Ed joins the Bebop.

Huey, Louie and Dewie (sp?) were caught in the beginning of Waltz for Venus, the session immediately before Jammin'.

They catch a few bounties that are worth a few million woolong, which should be worth 10's of thousands I guess. And how does the bounty get away 90% of the time?

Well, if they didn't smoke so much, they could run faster :smileytongue:

Also: execute, execute, execute.  Seemed to do a terrible job of executing at times.

Spike does seem to be decent with a handgun though

**beast** straight! The man does know jeet kun do after all. Reminds me of Bruce Lee. Well Jeet Kun Do and probably some other stuff too. but mainly Jeet Kun Do. You can see him doing it in the first episode when he's fighting the drug dealer who's dealing red eye. That and he can use anything as a weapon. He's one of THOSE fighters. Like Jackie Chan does in the movies he's in where there's comedy in it so he'll use w/e's around him as a weapon even to a comical level.
