I did a frame by frame of that final clash more than a half dozen times.  Vicious never cut him except for the one gash we saw him get on the leg.

 They did not show him getting slashed across the abdomen.  I think when Spike shot him, he was still out of range of the sword. Vicious was dragging it on the floor, charging him to close the distance, was shot, body jerked and he lost control of it and cut his own leg.  It's all right here:  http://mrsspooky.net/bebop/Bebop_ending_spoilers.html.

Well the ending is ambiguous and there are people that feel strongly about both ways....I don't want to chose.....I'd prefer not to know then to guess. I think it is very possible that Spike lived, I mean if they are going to kill him then they'd better eff him up.... more then they did when he finished his fight with Viscous...... Cause we've seen him in the past live thru much worse....But also, the episode kinda sets the tone for him to die...I doubt the creater will ever tell because not knowing drives everyone crazy....or at least it drives me crazy. I really hate when people say "he didn't have anything left to live for." Of course he does... The dark chapters in his life are closed. Why not move on with his friends? What do you think?

He should move on with his friends. Though if Spike was far enough away from getting slashed in the stomach area. then why did he come out limping and gripping his side as if he did get slashed there after all?

He WAS slashed on the leg, that happened fairly early on in the battle (we saw that, it was on screen).  We also saw him getting shot in the arm and stabbed in the shoulder when Vicious threw the knive at him as he was running up the stairs, so he wasn't completely without injuries.

My thought is, his left arm and shoulder were injured and he didn't have a sling (which holds the injured arm bent and against the stomach, chest area).  He was limping because of the slashed leg, holding his arm that way because it was injured and it hurt.

That's what is annoying to me....no real mortal wounds......Two hits in the arm and one in the leg, just doesn't equal death... especially for a tough guy like Spike.

Yeah, he did have soul. If there is one thing that i really admire about Spike, its his personality.

good, thats cool. i always liked at the end of the episodes it usually says see you space cowboy. 

Plus, my favorite episode is the real folk blues parts 1 and 2 and Speak like a child(love the part when they search for the beta and the song that plays in it.)

Lucky you! Lucky friend too.

 I seriously doubt it will ever be on iTunes.   Why not write to them in their feedback and ask?  Not sure where you would do that though.  Licensing issues and all that.  Heck, I think I would be interested in that as well.  Just might ask.

OMG.  Yeah.  He's completely gorgeous. His legs are amazing.

But you know what body part REALLY gets me (besides is gorgeous face)?  It's his hands.

Next time you watch the show, and he doesn't have them clenched or shoved in his pockets, look at his hands.  They're beautiful.

Jupiter Jazz part 1, when he tunes up those guys in the alley, during that fight scene.  Watch his hands.  They're open for grasping, but ready to clench for punching.  But they're BEAUTIFUL, and graceful.

If Spike played a musical instrument, it would have to be the piano. His hands are in proportion to the rest of his body, but he has a pianist's hands.

His tushie is awfully cute too. In Pierrot le Fou, when he's standing there in his sweat pants talking to Faye and Ed.  Check his butt.  *Spook dies*

OH yeAH. I.have.noticed.that! (*licks lips*)... I don't know which ep it is, but Spike is kind of flipping/rolling a cigarette from finger to finger and I was like O-O! But I'll watch for that one ep you mentioned...
