The Saxophone Man's Fanclub.

This is a place where you can talk about Gren, the smoothest Jazz player in Callisto.

I love "Goodnight Julia". I wish there was a longer version of it, though...

I liked him and his smooth, level-headed aura. He had an unhealthy obsession with Vicious though. But, I think he had the hots for Faye.

Wasn't it just that he was forced to take drugs that gave him boobs? Still a dude otherwise?

Yeah, he was framed and sent to prison. While there he suffered from insomnia to the point where it was driving him crazy, so he started taking drugs so he could sleep.  They helped him sleep but he got addicted and the side effects of the drugs gave him female physical characteristics (messed with his hormones).  So he basically had 2 sets of goodies, his man parts and some girl parts thrown in.

But yeah, he was probably equipped to please Faye, but because of the hormones (and probably self consciousness about the boobies), he wasn't interested.  No doubt hormonal too.  Poor thing.

To clarify: I'm a chick, ok? And I'm a hugger. And I call people "honey." That's just how I talk (really). I live in the South (if you consider Florida to still be the "South") and it's what comes out of my mouth and hands on the keyboard.

We don't know if he was "forced" to take the drugs.

He was in prison after all, maybe it was a gang thing.

But on a more serious note Jupiter Jazz 1 & 2 were my favorite episodes, not really so much for Gren but for the exposure it put on the backstory and how it was almost the episodes that killed this series in Japan.

I'm nor for sure if he was self consciousness about the boob thing though, he had no problem being naked in front of Faye during the shower scene.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Gren mention that the prison officials were using the prisoners as guinea pigs for the drugs?

Nope.  He was losing his mind because he couldn't sleep and turned to drugs.  Nothing about prison officials using the prisoners as guinea pigs.

Well, he did only tell two people about his condition - Julia then Faye.  He hid it pretty well while he was out in public, so I'm pretty sure he preferred nobody know about it.

But, once Faye saw him, he was all "ok, you wanted to look?  So look, here you go."

I thought it was interesting that he went to meet Vicious dressed as a woman.  Maybe he wanted to show Vicious the results of his framing him for spying.

I've could've sworn that he did say something in reference to it. Well, I guess it's time to watch the series over again, which I do not mind.

Yeah, I found that interesting too. But, I guess he wanted to go out with a dramatic flair bang. >.>

Anyhow, I still think he had the hots for Faye and if it wasn't for his final mission he probably would've gotten with her.

I don't know about you but, watching the scene with Faye and him in his apartment, I could just sense so much darn sexual tension there between the two of them.

Plus the fact that he could play Jupiter Jazz in a smoky bar. I wish I could do that.
