Ok guys. First off, allow me to introduce myself. I am Boodums90. I came to AS at the recommendation of DeaconPhenix, author of "Battle of 4 Dragons" and "Alone with the Revenant".
Alright here's the scoop. I have been going back and forth with this story for five years now. I had scrapped it but have recently been encouraged to rewrite it. The story is based in a galaxy called Sistema Estrella. There are seven planet in the solar systems, each planet being the home to a different type of creature: Gabstrea'el- elves; Barlognauria- aliens; Bestia- aninoyds (animals that can walk and talk and are human-sized); Tierra- humans; Falto de Sangre- vampires; Destino- werewolves; and Fuego- Dragon/Dragon Riders.
There was a peace treaty stating that for at least 7 years there would be no wars or rumors of war in the galaxy. Each planet signed. The aliens broke the treaty about 6 and a quarter years later by blowing up the elfin planet. The main character, Perazon, is supposed to be the only surviving elf.
Now, here is a brief generalization of each creature type.
Elves- intelligent, wise, pompous, they are the eldest creatures in galaxy. Weaponry- medival looking items with technology and magic to vamp them up. Age ratio: 1 to 10 human years
Aliens- Evil, self-serving, manipulative, they live for gradification of the senses. Weaponry- futuristic weapons with plasma bullets and such.

Humans- thought of as weak, for the most part ignorant of the other creatures except for the governments and a select few. Weaponry- much like what we have now in the "real world". Age ratio: normal
Aninoyds- can be any creature, I focused more on ferrets. Weaponry- anything can apply. Ferrets have sup-ed up medival weapons like a boomerang with knives on the ends. Age ratio: 1/2 to 1 human year
Vampires and Werewolves and Dragons/Dragon Riders- I am open to ideas on these. The planets that the vampires and werewolves live on were once human colonies but I will tell more in the story. Age Ratio: I am thinking immortal for all of them to time, can be killed tho.

I am opening any character idea that you think would fit into my story. For now, I ask that you limit one character per person. I am looking for five dragons, five dragon riders, ten humans, 4 elves, 4 aliens, 3 vampires and 2 werewolves. For aninoyds, I am looking for any ideas you have. They have to be "real" animals that are "humanized". Submission is open til I have chapter 3 up.
I am also open to questions and comments. I will be posting my first chapter within the next week, so please look at for it. In the mean time, you can also check out my boy DeaconPhenix's stuff.

First, I would recommend editing out your age. You're not supposed to post any personal info on the boards, names, ages, locations, etc. The mods are strict about that and I'd hate to see you get banned.
Second, how long are you leaving submissions open?
Third, how many characters can someone submit?
Fourth, Is there a limit on the number of characters for any given world?
Fifth, I'll get started on making a character...and I'm calling Dragon Rider just incase there is a limit.

Yay! I was right...and a little wrong. Don't worry...it's just the birthing process. I'll change it up. Quick question though...does the dragon come from an egg or just burst through the dirt? Also how does the "earth" affect the dragon...i.e. calmer dragons coming from watery places, quick to anger from firy, etc?

Hey Witch. Good to hear from you again. Dont sweat not having it done. I am being patient just like you told me to. 
To answer your questions, dragons grow as their riders do. Riders go out in search of their dragons at about 8 years old. They usually find them no later than 13. In that time, the two become more and more familiar with one another. If a rider finds his Dragon by say 12 in human years, then they are both "adults" by 25. How quickly they mature also depends on the personality types. Fire born dragons birthed to angry ppl tend to mature slower than say water borns because the riders tend to mature slower. Riders and Dragons stop aging at 40. Their immortality fully develops by then and, save for being killed, they are no longer really effected by time. So the riders and dragons do mature. there is a childhood, teen years, young adults, etc. They do act differently with age. However, they born looking about the age of the rider. A 8 years old's dragon will look younger than a 13 year old's even if they are found on the same day. This is due to the fact that they were made for one another.
Riders look like humans as far as skin tones. but everything else can be any color.
