“Holy Fire”
*Falio is with Suzaku and the rest of the Knights of the Round, trying to understand what happened at the compound*
Falio: So what happened here? How many members of The Light Brigade were here to do something like this?
Suzaku *a little dazed*: I don’t know, we only encountered Ragnarok.
Falio: Just Ragnarok did this to you guys!?!?
Suzaku *getting off the ground*: Yeah, it’s a long story
Salaand: There were five, including Ragnarok. I’ve just looked over the surveillance system, there was just five.
Falio: Wow, that’s unbelievable.
Luciano *still losing blood*: OH YEAH! What’s so unbelievable about it!
Suzaku: Luciano! Your still bleeding, you need to get medical attention fast or you’re gonna bleed out.
Zack: AHHH! My head kills. I would give a limb to give that bastard Ragnarok a piece of my mind right now!
Falio: Well he’s long gone man, and we need to get moving too. The Black Knights are here and need to be dealt with.
Suzaku: Right! Hey, are you ok Gino?
Gino: Huh? Oh yeah I’m fine, just a little shell shocked I guess. Let’s get back to the ship and get ready for battle.
Zack: Yeah! Now how are we getting out of here?
Falio: Oh, about that….
*Outside the military compound, The Black Knights are preparing to make their move*
Zero *Commanding from the Shinkiro*: Attention all units! We have the Britannians surrounded. Without the Knights of the Round in the battle we can wipe them out with ease. THE TIME TO CLAIM VICTORY IS NOW!
Kallen: You heard Zero, let’s show these lousy Britannians what we’re made of!
Tamaki: YEAH! These stupid Britannians won’t know what hit them!
*The Black Knights begin to engage the Britannians, quickly dominating the battle*
Six: Wow, I love it how we’ve been getting the upper hand on Britannia lately. *attacking a knightmare* I wonder how they feel now that the shoe’s on the other foot!
Shiro: Haha, I don’t. *attacking a knightmare* All I care about is taking them down to size!
Six: Well look who it is! Hello there ladies!
Iyumi: Hi boys! We saw that you were getting all the action and figured we could come help.
Shiro: Yeah, it sure did look like we needed help.
Kareko: Well maybe it didn’t, but that doesn’t mean you boys couldn’t share.
Six: Whatever, less talking more fighting!
Iyumi: Haha, I’m gonna like you Six.
*On the other side of the battlefield, Kallen is preparing to command a small unit for a special assignment*
Kallen: Haya, Ginger, Folka and Teinei. I have orders from Zero to lead the four of you into the compound. We’re going to try to capture the Knights of the Round.
Ginger: No way! That’s awesome.
Teinei: Why us though?
Kallen: I’m surprised you ask, you are the four individuals that C.C. gave the power of Geass too. We believe it will give us an advantage in capturing the Knights.
Haya: Kallen! I didn’t know that you knew about Geass. Do you have one?
Kallen: No, not really my style. But let’s get going, we need to get into the compound before the Knights can get out.
Folka: You heard Kallen, let’s get moving!
*Back on the main Britannian Cruiser, Cornelia is watching the battle unfold*
Cornelia: Dammit Dmitri! How much longer until that weapon is ready?
Dmitri: Sorry your Highness, its ready now. We will fire on your command.
Cornelia: Finally! Time to teach these elevens what happens when you oppose Britannia, FIRE THE WEAPON!
*Two massive beams of energy are shot at a large pocket of the Black Knights armada, whipping out over a thousand units. Alex, Matt and Valde witness the blast from a far.*
Alex: Holy hell! What in god’s name was that?
Matt: That was the Holy Fire, it’s a weapon Dmitri and Llyod were working on for the flagships.
Valde: It certainly was powerful, and now we have the slip on The Black Knights.
Alex: Hell yeah! Now is our chance to reclaim control of this battle.
Marc: HEY! Don’t forget about us.
Ashtyn: Someone sure is excited for battle.
Marc: Yeah, I feel like Rambo right now!
Matt: Haha! Oh Marc, that’s fantastic. So what are we waiting for? Let’s get in there and kick some @$$!
*Zero watches on as the Holy Fire wipes out large numbers of his men*
Zero: Dam(n) Britannians! You think that will be enough to take us down? This doesn’t change the fact that you’re still hopeless without The Knights of the Round. ALL UNITS, SHOW THE BRITANNIANS OUR RESOLVE!
*As The Black Knights charge on, Cornelia is flustered and looking for a way turn the tide*
Cornelia: Kasparkova! When can we fire that weapon again?
Dmitri: Not for another thirty minutes your highness. But the next time we attack it will be with the Holy Fires from all of the flagships.
Cornelia: Very well then, I’m sending the Glaston Knights into the battle to keep us above water, but we need the Knights of the Round. Gilford, assemble our finest available pilots, we need to bring The Knights their Knightmares.
Guilford: Yes your Highness!
*Back at the Compound, The Knights are being briefed on what is about to happen*
Zack: So they’re bringing our Knightmares to us?
Falio: Yeah, that’s what I’m being told.
Gino: Well they better hurry, we’re sitting ducks here. It’s only a matter of time before The Black Knights get through our units and get in here.
Suzaku: Well if they do get in, we’ll just have to deal with them when it happens.
Salaand: Is that your flimsy way of saying we need to come up with a plan?
Suzaku: Yeah
*Back on The Swollen Goat, Ragnarok and his crew are arriving from their siege on the military compound, ready to initiate the second part of their plan*
Ragnarok: Ahhh, my home away from home, so good to be back!
Isaac: Yeah, too bad we have to leave soon, but I’m actually pretty excited to go out and fight today.
Layla: Me too! I can’t wait to have the full team out on the battlefield, it’s going to be amazing.
Akesato: Are you really going through with that Ragnarok, all the tyrants including us?
Ragnarok: Of course, why shouldn’t I. We’re about to perform on the biggest stage on earth, I say we do it right.
Giliis: I have a feeling you will boss, come you need to see it before you go online.
Ragnarok: Very well, see you soon friends. Today we meet destiny.
*Ragnarok and Gillis head to the Knightmare Deck*
Gillis *opening the door*: Well boss, here it is.
Ragnarok *eyes gleaming*: Oh my, forgive me Gillis, but I think I might cry a little.
Gillis: Haha, go ahead boss. But seriously, how powerful is this thing supposed to be?
Ragnarok: Oh, you’ll see my boy, you will see. But now I must be off, the time has come for me to formally introduce myself to the world. Dare I say it’s long overdue.
Gillis: Very well my lord, onward into The Day of the Swollen Goat.
*Ragnarok leaves the Knightmare Deck and heads for the conference room, which is completely empty, enters and turns on the TV*
Ragnarok: So, what’s on the news?
Reporter: At approximately 11:00pm last night, The Light Brigade staged a small attack on the Britannian Military Compound just outside of Area 11. Sources say that Ragnarok did lead the attack, claiming control of the compound and engaging in some conflict with the Knights of the Round. At about 2:30am, Ragnarok and his men escaped from the compound in the wake of an
attack from the military, leaving the compound in ruins and killing a few hundred men. At 3:00am The Black Knights officially appeared on the scene and engaged in all out battle with the military. With The Knights of the Round still trapped in the compound, we can only wonder what will become of this high stakes fire fight.
Ragnarok: This story’s boring, let’s watch something entertaining.
“The Truth”
*Ragnarok flips three switches on a panel in front of his chair, and looks up to the TV to see his face, the same thing the rest of the world is seeing*
Ragnarok: Hello Britannia, my name is Ragnarok. I’m sure many of you are familiar with my work, but please allow me to take this moment to formally introduce myself to all of you. Over the last year I have waged war with your nation, bringing it to the brink of chaos. Well it is with great pride that I tell you all that today marks the beginning of that chaos. You wanted an Armageddon, well here I am.
*Meanwhile, Kallen and her squad of soldiers are beginning to enter the military compound, preparing to do battle with The Knights of the Round*
Folka: I can’t believe how easy it was getting through their defenses, this whole battle would have been a route if all those flagships hadn’t shown up with such force.
Teinei: Yeah, but I still plan on making it a route. Let’s get inside and find the Knights, we have no way of knowing when they might escape from here.
Ginger: Well I think it’s safe to say that they are here now, should we split up or stick together?
Kallen: We’ll split into three groups and sweep each floor separately. Haya and I will be one group and you and Teinei will be another. Think you can handle being alone invisible boy?
Folka *turning invisible*: Yeah, shouldn’t be a problem.
Kallen: Alright then, let’s start hunting.
*As Kallen and her unit begin searching for The Knights of the Round, Ragnarok continues with his statement to Britannia*
Ragnarok: I don’t expect the blessed to understand the words f the cursed, and your divine ignorance isn’t entirely your fault. But in this world the good and evil have suffered side by side. No one is safe from injustice, that is unless you have ascended to a point where you can choose what is just and unjust. This is why your nation must be cleansed of its arrogance, you believe you dictate right and wrong to this world, you believe that others deserve to die in your name for your own benefit. Well let me show you what those “others” looked like in their dying moments.
*Ragnarok flips another switch creating a panoramic video on the walls around him, it’s footage from the day Britannia official took power over Japan, the lives that were taken that day*
I want you to look closely at these images, images of innocent men, women and children being slaughtered worse than animals. I want you to become comfortable with these images, because they do not even compare to the future that lies ahead, a future I will bring upon you all.
*Back at the compound, the Knights of the Round are waiting for the Knightmares to arrive so that they can escape before any hostiles show up*
Suzaku: Falio, who else came to rescue us besides you and your squad?
Falio: Nobody sir, we’re the only unit in the facility.
Gino: You’ve gotta be kidding me! They only brought six guys for us!
Falio: Yeah, command just shifted the focus onto fighting The Black Knights once they got here.
Salaand: That’s pathetic, when the hell are our Knightmares showing up?
Falio: Soon, probably 20-30 minutes.
Zack: Well we might as well set up a perimeter on this floor, no doubt The Black Knights will be here soon.
Suzaku: Hey Luciano, how are you holding up?
Luciano: Would you please quit f*cking asking me! I’m fine, I stopped the bleeding and I can move just fine.
Gino: Alright then, let’s set up.
*Back on the battlefield, Six, Shiro, Iyumi and Kareko have begun to battle Alex, Matt, Valde and Marc*
Six: You think you’re strong huh? Let me show you what the Rampage can do!
*The Rampage hits Valde’s Lucifer with several blows, but can’t make any real damage*
Valde: Sorry kid, I’m not impressed, my Lucifer is just on another level!
*The Lucifer and Rampage speed away as their battle grows more intense, as they do, Matt and his Springfield Alpha begin to do battle with Iyumi and the her Sutherland*
Matt: That’s a nice Sutherland you’ve got there, too bad its way overmatched against my Springfield!
Iyumi: Someone sure is cocky, let me show you what that’s gonna cost you!
*The battle between Iyumi’s Sutherland and Matt’s Springfield continues on the ground. Meanwhile Shiro’s Arbiter and Alex’s Springfield Beta*
Shiro: You might be a good shot man, but you can’t stop the strength of the Arbiter!
Alex: We’ll see about that you punk! Aim is everything!
*As the battle between the Arbiter and the Springfield Beta gets heavier, Marc is giving his all against Kareko and her Knightmare*
Marc: I can’t believe how exhilarating this is, real combat, battles of life and death with everything at stake.
Kareko: Well I’m glad you’re having fun, but you have a lot to learn.
*Kareko’s Knightmare lands a strong blow against Marc’s, sending it flying*
Marc: Darn it! One of these days I’ll be a real fighter!
*As the battle rages on outside the compound, Ragnarok continues his message to Britannia*
Ragnarok: This is what your vanity has done to the world, now brothers are fighting brothers and lovers are lost without so much as a ounce of remorse. You kill in the name of your honor, your country and your god. Your excuses are your self glorifying salvation, a crutch you’ve made to pardon your sick actions. Your country has raped this world of its beauty, but it is only the byproduct of the real problem. As a society we believe we live without consequence, we think our will dictates that of the world. We are conceited and vicious, and we disguise it as glory and favor from on high. But now, we will become one, one world unified by one event. Can you guess what it is? It’s the end of the world.
*All of a sudden, something becomes visible in the skies of Area 11, leaving people speechless. Back on the Main Britannian Battle Cruiser, Dmitri is preparing the Holy Fire for a second attack*
Cornelia: Well then Dmitri, how much longer until we can make our next attack?
Dmitri: Ten minutes your Highness
Cornelia: Excellent, soon we will reclaim control of this battle. With the Knights returned and their forces laid to waste by the Holy Fire, we will be victorious!
*Back inside the compound, Kallen and her unit are one floor underneath The Knights of the Round*
Kallen *on com-link*: Everyone, my motion detector is picking up something above us, it’s gotta be the Knights. Folka, I want you to head up to the next floor and scope out the situation for us.
Folka: Ok, I’m on it.
Kallen: Alright, everyone else regroup around me and get ready to engage.
*As Kallen begins to lead her unit towards the location of The Knights of the Round, Ragnarok is finishing his message to the public*
Ragnarok: So I’m guessing you all saw that big dark thing in the sky? Well don’t worry, it’s not coming for you folks yet, consider it a gift to your precious army. But make no mistake, I want the world to remember this day. Today the world spirals into the chaos it’s been lead towards for thousands of years.
Zero *looking to the sky*: Oh my god
Ragnarok: Today is a crucial moment in the history of mankind.
Cornelia *looking to the sky*: DAM(N) HIM!
Ragnarok: Today begins the journey that will make us chose between peace and annihilation.
Valde *looking to the sky*: Unbelievable
Ragnarok: Today we are all in the wake of the Swollen Goat.
