Fanfic writer? Well this thread was designed with you in mind. This is place where fellow AD fanfic writers can come together and bounce ideas off one another, edit (possibly), brainstorm, and talk about future writings. ALL FANFICS WILL BE POSTED IN SEPARATE THREADS. We don’t want any confusion…
For those lurking (looking through threads without posting) and have no clue what I’m talking about:
What is a fanfic? (Off the top of my head so…bare with it.) 
A fanfic (short for Fan fiction), is generally a fictional story that is written by fans of a particular work (in this instance, anime). Common sense right? LOL. Anyways, these writings are derived from the original works, however are not authorized by the original author. This is just for fun.
Usually, fanfics are written whereas the reader is fully aware of the events that were created from the original work, but are taken in a different direction.
Fanfics vary from writer to writer… especially here in AD. There are few “styles” (which I like to call them) that are used:
Script (whereas the story is written as if reading a script)
Character 1: You took the last apple you jerk!
Character 2: Tough luck… Eat a orange.
Traditional (where it is written as a regular “paragraphed” story).
It was a peaceful night for the old cemetery on 13th Street. Bullfrogs croaked one after another from a stream nearby, as the moon over head illuminated the land. The crickets accompanied the bullfrogs with their rhythmic chirping, thus making it a peaceful place.
Thick clouds began to pass overhead, blocking the moon‘s light, rendering darkness throughout the tombstone covered field. As the cool breeze swept though, a thick mist began to emerge from the darkness. Slowly, the thick mist engulfed gravesite, tombstones and monuments, even though this didn’t seem to interrupt the symphonic sounds of the night.
Most fanfics are based solely on the original works, though here in AD, it is common to see your fellow ADers in the story. It's not thought as a “true” fanfic, but hey that’s what AD wants. 
ATTENTION WRITERS!!! WE HAVE RULEZ!!!
Yes there are rules to keep this from being deleted (if if hasn’t already).
1. NO FLAMING/BASHING. (This was design to promote ideas and to create, so lets respect one another and other‘s opinions).
2. KEEP SPAM TO A BARE MINIMUM. (This thread will spam easily if our writers are thrown off track. So lets try to stay focused on our AD/AS material.)
3. ALL FANFIC IDEAS MUST BE BASED ON/RELATED TO AS ANIME IN SOME WAY. (This means all fanfics/works/ideas that are discussed here must pertain to AS anime: Bleach, Blood +, Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Eureka 7, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, InuYasha, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Paranoia Agent, Samurai Champloo, s-CRY-ed, Trigun, Trinity Blood … etc.
4. HAVE FUN WITH IT! (This is the most important rule of all. Otherwise.... why are you writing?) 
WANNA BE AN AD FANFIC WRITER? HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO GET STARTED...
- Have a favorite AS anime? (If not, you're S.O.L.) Use that show as your frame for your story.
- Try to think of some areas where the original creator/author left out. Add to that particular area.
- Can't figure out what to add? Think of it like this.:
Are there any parts that left you... well in the dark? (Was something suppose to happen here? Well... how come so and so didn't...)
What would you have done if you were the author? (Change the setting, more character growth, etc.)
What would you change about a particular character(s) ? (Think about the character's strengths, weaknesses, personality, physical traits, etc.)
- Have more than one favorite? Why not clash them together.
These are just a few personal tips... Other writers can give tips along the way.
