I almost feel ashamed I am just finding out about this folder on the website...

Anyway, for those of you who don't know me and/or didn't frequent Other Anime five years ago, I wrote a rough draft for a novel at the time and posted links where people could read it as I wrote. It was generally well received, but I disactivated the links and took the story down to publish it. Well, after a number of years of sitting on it, losing and finding it, and generally hesitating to find my balls to put it out, I sat down, revised it, and self-published the complete project.

Ladies and gentleman of the ASMB, I give you Kardia.

This is the story of Diana, a high school girl who begins to hear a voice in her head one day. She doesn't know how it happened, or even why, but when she gets home from school that day, it doesn't matter. She blacks out and when she comes to, she is lying next to the bloody corpse of her dead mother. As she stumbles to get to her feet, a strange woman with a gun points the barrel to her head.

From then on, Diana's life is anything but normal. Taken away at gunpoint, Diana begins her life with Melissa, her captor, and two others like them that tell her she has a unique virus that makes her dangerous, and the world will kill her if she is found. What Diana doesn't know is that there is more to her than she knows. As she works her way into the hearts of her "family" and becomes increasing attached to Melissa, her safety will be threatened by the mysterious Mythos organization, her concept of reality shattered, and at the end of it all, her greatest enemy may turn out to be herself.

This is my second novel and the first that has been published for consumers. Adult Swim Action and general anime fans will really enjoy this as it's heavily influenced by the anime medium, in characters, plot points, and dialogue.
