Introduction
This is a story that starts back when the royal family still visited Seretei, back when meeting were held between the prince and the 13 captains and their lieutenants. This is about a mythology I created about a being called a Jin. People in Soul Society who have had their soul chain and soul sleep severed become Jins, now normally this would kill them, however in very rare cases, it doesn't get the job done. A Jin, or Demon, as it translates into English, is considered by the Soul Society to be the same as a hollow, and so the soul, now a Jin, faces to choices: Execution or banishment from Soul Society for eternity, for if they are caught, execution will surely be their fate.
So now the curtain will rise on a tale of a particular Jin, a special case................
Assassinate the Prince: Invasion of Seretei!!!!!
In a lowly tent far from Seretei, and far removed from even the Soul Society's most distant rundown districts, in the desert, three friends meet to decide their fate. They appear to be Soul Reapers, the first one says,
"Hey Ru-Retto, do you really think that the big guy will back us?"
"Well Surrots, we don't have much choice to trust him now do we? It's not like anyone else is crazy enough to try to assassinate someone in the royal family."
The third man just sits there silently relaxing as the other two continue to talk.
"It sure doesn't look like he's too pumped to do this, are you sure we should even bring 'em? scoffed Surrots.
"Oh, he's up for it, he just has a lot on his mind. I'm sure, and we have a really big task ahead of us, and there is just no room for error"
"Tch, even so you might think he would have somethin' to add to THE ** rabble 
** STRADEGY MEETING!!!!!!" he said yelling directly at the 3rd man.
Just then a man, small of stature, walks in and interrupts,
"Everything is set, my boss is ready for the invasion, are you three ready?
"Ru-Retto speaks up, "Yeah just abo...."
"How can we be ready, anything we plan really just comes down to plain dumb luck anyway..." said the 3rd man cutting him off mid sentence.
Ru-Retto turning to the small man. " Just give just give us a few minutes."
The small man turn and walks out and then Ru turns to the third man and says. "I know we don't have much on our side, Saikoro, but I think our luck is about to change." With that they begin discussing their strategy for the invasion.
At a rather large and lavish tent that looks very out of place in this desert village, the small man enters and speaks to a hooded figure in a black robe lined in red, it covers his entire being, hiding any trace of identity. "So Boss, why did you agree to help these cursed fools? You know they are going to fail." asked the small man.
The large man speaking with a voice that sounds like his vocal cords were charred, bellows at his servant, "YOU DARE TO QUESTION ME? YOU LITTLE FOOL!"
"Well sir, I am just saying they have cursed zanpaktous for trying the same thing earlier, and they are not much stronger now, what chance could they possibly have?"
"HA, HA, HAH, THEY DON'T STAND A CHANCE AT ALL" the boss said a mocking tone.
"Then why not concentrate your efforts on a more lucrative venture, boss?"
" I HAVE MY REASONS! THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR YOU, NOW DO AS YOUR TOLD AND GET READY!"
"Yes Boss." With that the small man takes his leave.
Mean while in Seretei, as the Captains are getting ready for the meeting with the prince. Here we shall look in on Squad 2, and we hear a woman voice yelling, "Soi Fong!"
"Yes captain?" Soi Fong finally replied.
"How many time I gotta tell ya? You can call me Yoruichi."
"Yes cap...I mean yes, Yoruichi."
Yoruichi smiles and says, "It's time for the annual meeting, so go prepare yourself to help me make a full report."
"Yes, right away."
Next we go to Squad 3's base, where Captain Kenshin Zetsumei, a rather large man in a captain's outfit who is impatiently taping his foot.
"Uru! Hurry up and get dressed!"
"But Kenshin, you want me too look my best, riiiiight?!" responds in a teasing tone.
"But I always think you look good," Kenshin replies back, "so just hurry it up already!"
Urawakai Bi, only Kensin dares calls her Uru, walks out looking as desirable as ever, all smexy and curvy in all the right places to please a man. Uru has long brown hair and blue ribbon in her hair, and has on some fancy rings and bracelets.
"How do I look?" she bats her eyes at him.
"You look awesome, Wiffy, now let's get going."
She stares a hole right through him.
"That's it?! Just awesome? Obviously I need to show you just how hard it is to be this awesome," with that said, she flies at Kenshin with makeup kit in hand, and as he turns to flees, he is tripped up by his dirty laundry laying on the floor.
"See, you really should put that stuff in the laundry basket where it belongs," Uru says as she pins Kenshin to the ground and proceeds to apply makeup to his face.
Job complete she arises, leaving him laying on the floor and a bit bemused by it all.
"Well maybe now you will appreciate how just hard it is to look so pretty all the time." Handing him a hand mirror off the dresser, "Take a look Luv, now let's go. I'm sure the guys will really appreciate your new look."
With that she walks out of the room and immediately dissolves into a fit of giggles. Kenshin, looks in the mirror, at first cringes, and then slowly starts to chuckle, which then proceeds to a deep rumbling full belly laugh, at the sight of his made up face.
"Women! Oh, but you got to love them, and they do make life so very interesting." Standing, he hurries to the basin and washes his face of every trace of makeup, and then follows after his lady love.
On to Squad 4, we find the beautiful Captain Ayumi Miharu, she has long brown hair down to her waist and sparkling blue eyes, in her hair she likes to wear a silver barrette at the nape of her neck to contain her hair in a ponytail. The barrette as well as the matching necklace she always wears are decorated with filigree wildflowers that have an amethyst stone set at the center of each flower.
"Rei." Ayumi says in a soft voice to her lieutenant."
"It's time to go?" Rei Suwan replies back.
"Yes, it is." she answers.
Starting towards her, Rei tries to do a kick flip to his feet, and manages to land on the front of his feet, but then they immediately slip out from underneath him, and he crashes to the ground, knocking the wind out of him and banging his head hard on the ground. Ayumi, while quietly laughing, checks him over and says,
"Well, it looks like your okay, but I don't think that hard head of yours will ever take any real damage, or for that matter, that you'll ever learn to be more careful.
"But I almost got it that time! Ah, sh*t."
Despite his apparent clumsiness, he dresses in a style all of his own, a vest with no shirt revealing his bluffness, loose fitting pants, boots, and medical tape over his forearms and hands.
Let's see what the captain of Squad 6 is up to, Captain Shimin Hazano is in his usual attire, his captain uniform has cut-off sleeves, and it is black and white, he stands at 6'1" and is of average build. He has short spike blonde hair with a black strip, and always seems to be smoking his rolled cigarettes.
"What are ya lookin, at move along, I am gonna finish this smoke, and then take a nap, it's not like I am sitting here talking myself."
But of course he is. Currently Squad 6 has no lieutenant, which leaves the captain to enjoy smoking his cigarettes in peace.
Onwards to Squad 10, where we find Captain Yuki Hana, she stands 5'6" tall, and has a similar body type to that of Nano. Yuki has purple hair that goes down past her waist, because if someone approaches her with scissors, she will run away crying. She also wears glasses. Her lieutenant, Yohsikuni Kaito, simply chooses to wear a regular soul reapers outfit, but with a hood. We find Yuki in her room throwing clothes everywhere.
"OMG, I totz don't even know what I will wear! Maybe I can wear my cappy robe with penguines!!!!!! Squeeee!!!!! That's totz it! I will wear my pengy outfit!!!!"
Yoshi standing outside the room, calls out, "Hurry up we gotta go, and wear your normal one, after all, we gotta look professional sometimes, ya know?! Do I need to come in there and dress you my self?!"
He starts to poke his head in her room, but is halted by a slap that sends him reeling, twisting and flipping in such a cartoonish manor that you would think he was being tossed about by a tornado.
"Eeeeeeeee! No, Ju perb! ** rabble ** Yoshi, how many time have I told you NO!"
He groans and says, "That would make it 1245 times now..."
Next on to Squad 11, no drama here, we find Captain Mugen, he wearing a regular Soul Reaper outfit, but it's green. His lieutenant, Kurido Hikage, and a built similar to Orihime, and wears regular Soul Reaper clothes with a necklace with green glass beads. The 2 are training, when Mugen stops for a moment and scratches his head and says, "Aren't we forgetting something?" just as Kurido was charging. With all of her might, she tries to avoid slashing him, but she stumbles, and the hilt of her zanpaktou bounces from her hands and lands right behind him. "Oh yeah, that meeting," Mugan said. Just then Kurido hits him in the head very hard with her fist.
"What the hell was that for?! he complained,
"We're late, so come on now!!!"
Squads 5,7,8,9,12, 13, and General Yamamoto make their way to the meeting accordingly. Aizen with Gin of Squad 5, Komamura of Squad 7, Kyouraku of Squad 8, Tousen of Squad 9, Urahara of Squad 12, and Ukitake of Squad 13. It seems like all is well in Seretei, but underneath the surface there is trouble. Intruders!
Saikoro walks up to the Gate Guard of Seretei calmly and draws his zanpaktou. The giant Guard looks down at him and smiles a condescending smiles,
"What are ya gonna do with that tooth pick of a sword, traitor? I doubt you would even be able to hit me with it."
The giant rocks back to take a shot at him, but Saikoro manages to evade him, then recovers and shouts out.
"I will show you the power of my Curse. Dice of Fate, please don't roll away my destiny!! Roll the Dice!!!" and Saikoro throws his dice." I call on the odd numbers." It rolls and....
"Hah, playing with toys are we? Well, I won't miss twice," the giant throws what looks to be a earth shattering punch. Meanwhile the dice stop rolling, and it's a...
"Three" Saikoro says to himself, just then the giant's punch veers off just before it hits Saikoro, and he falls over.
"What the hell?! I must have slipped!" exclaims the giant.
Saikoro shouts back, "There are no coincidences." With a red flash of light, Saikoro releases his Shinkai, a large scimitar with a pair of dice hanging from a chain at the end, and swinging his scimtar, he easily beheads the giant. Standing over his handy work still holding his zanpactou, he addressed the fallen giant.
"Much like my self, because of my betrayal, your fate is sealed," and with that Saikoro disappears into the neighboring district.
Immediately after that in that very same area, dark clouds begin to swirl and voice is heard shouting "BANKAAAAAAAAI!!!!!!!" A huge black dragon crashes through the wall separating Seretei from the rest of the Soul Society. It also takes out a number of walls standing behind it. After the dust settles, the man of small stature from before, is seen standing there and so is Saikoro. The small man breaks the silence in the aftermath,
"I just kept my end of my boss's deal, one entrance, and one huge distraction, and as an added bonus, I think I killed a number of Soul Reapers as well."
"I don't get it, why not just help us take out everyone inside" Saikoro asked.
Scoffing the small man replied, "And just how much spiritual pressure do you think I have, huh? If that was the case, I would have leveled the entire place, you idiot!"
"Sorry, I asked," said Saikoro turns to leave, he then rushes in and to start to move stealthily around Seretei.
Meanwhile at the meeting, things are in an uproar.
"What the F*ck was that?!?!?!?! said Kenshin as he jumped to his feet.
"Get the Prince to the palace!!!" said an important looking man.
"We cannot open it while the Sereatei is under attack!" exclaimed Yamamoto.
"Protect the Prince!" shouted a guard.
"Someone sure did their homework, attacking when we've just lost some of our best lieutenants to the upsurge in hollows," said Urahara.
"Captains, gather your squads immediately for the defense of the Seretai, more importantly, for the protection of the prince!" said Yamamoto. With that the Captains of Seretei leapt into action.
In a small tool shed two familiar faces crawl out of a hole that looks like it was there just for this invasion. Ru laughs and says,
"Looks like the big guy came through for us, eh Surrots?"
"Yeah, he sure did, time to split up."
The two split up and stealthily work their way to their separate destinations, while getting in the occasional kill along the way, however unnecessarily, because they don't come across anyone of importance, but finding that they are enjoying their revenge, never the less, that is until they each run across a worthy opponent.
"I don't have time for you, get out of my way!" Ru says.
The man barring his way begins to declare, "I, the Third Seat of Squad 11 Ge..." but he is interrupted by Ru.
"Shut the hell up, I know who you are, you idiot! You are my replacement!" Ru then releases his Shinkai, "Bullet of fate, find your true mark! Rulette!!"
His sword turns into a gun blade, he then takes a out a bullet and spins the cylinder and slaps it into place. The Third Seat Soul Reaper begins to call out his zanpaktou, but it's too late. Ru attacks and pulls the trigger, and hears it clicks.
"Good, that space is empty," he thought to himself.
Ru then attempts a slash right down the middle. His opponent barely manages to keep the blow from killing him, but it leaves it's mark as his shoulder erupts with a spray of blood.
"You dirty b*stard, you won't even let me release my sword!" The Third Seat is breathing very heavy now.
"MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE RELEASED YOU ZANPAKTOU INSTEAD OF INSULTING ME!!!!!!!" Ru yells.
Ru charges in for another attack, a diagonal slash this time, but his opponent blocks his attack. Ru releases all of his spiritual pressure and pushes his opponent back knocking him off balance. The Third Seat then goes for a spinning horizontal slash, feigning the attack and spinning in the other direction, Ru went to block the first, and missed the second, and is almost disemboweled.
"I...I guess that will..." trying to speak as he spits out blood "...teach me...not to disrespect...my enemy." Ru is having trouble standing while trying to holding his wound.
"LIKE I WAS SAYING, I AM GEN MARU, SCREAM BANSHEE!!!!!!!" the Third Seat yells.
With that he leaps at Ru slashing with the ferocity of a cornered animal. Ru has difficulty blocking, and for every hit of his opponent's sword, it screams aloud as it hits. Ru finds he can barely defend himself, he stumbles backward, then he charges up for a desperation attack, and lunges for Gen's stomach. Gen blocks with ease and mocks Ru saying,
"DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WOULD WORK? YOU FOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!"
"That wasn't my gambit." Ru said with a grin, and he pulls the trigger and hears a click. "** rabble **...can't even...catch a break."
With the failure of his ploy, Ru closes his eyes and resigns himself to his fate, with his enemy claiming his head after Ru's failed attack. Gen spits on his headless enemy.
"What a fool, it is called a curse for a reason, in the end you couldn't even work that in your favor." says Gen who then heads towards the Squad 4 base.
Near the Squad 12 base, the "boss" that everyone has talked about lately nears his target objective, when the guards try to stop him, he then addresses them with,
"DO NOT WORRY, THIS WILL BE OVER QUICKLY!"
The guards charge, and with one swipe of his hand, the intruder knocks their zanpaktous from their hands.
"DEBIRU GIGAI 90, TURN ALL THE WORLD TO ASHES, INCINERATION!" he says.
With that he snaps his fingers, and the Soul Reapers are burnt down to ashes in a flash. As he walks towards the door as a lieutenant stands before him.
"Stop right there big guy!!!!!" says the lieutenant.
"INSECT....."
It looks as if the intruder has disappear from sight, but then he appears right in front of the lieutenant grabbing him by the throat, slowly crushing it.
"DIE WORTHLESS GUARD DOG!" and with that he extinguishes the lieutenant's life, "WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU BROTHER, I WOULD END THIS NOW!" The intruder then proceeds to the Squad 12 building, uninterrupted this time.
While running towards the meeting hall where the prince is, Surrots feels Ru-Retto's spiritual pressure ebb out.
"** rabble ** are we going to make it. Even with the knowledge gained from our inside help, will I get to the meeting place interrupted?" He turns the corner to find himself face to face with Squad 6's captain. "** rabble **, what rotten luck" he thinks to himself.
"** rabble ** the one place I though I could avoid the action and enjoy my smoke, and then you have to show up," Captain Shimin said, "Ok, then I guess it's time to kill you."
Surrots, frozen with fear, thought, "How can he be so ** rabble ** casual, lives are at stake here." Surrots releases his zanpaktou.
"Slots of fate! Come on Jackpot!!!!"
Shimin slowly smiles and says,
"Hah, your way too serious, guy, it's bad for your health, so relax."
With that he slowly walks towards his opponent, and then suddenly changes to flash step, and take a vertical slash as if to try to end it in one blow, Surrots blocks, but barely. Surrots forces the block by pushing with the blade, his hand bleeds even though it not sharp.
"** rabble **!!!!!! Your just too strong!" Surrots backs off, and sparks fly, then he shouts "Pull the lever!!! Come on Jack pot!!!"
He pulls a lever at the hilt of the his zanpaktou, it comes back with three symbols, all of them left hands with a circle and a diagonal slash through it like a no smoking sign. "Oh sh*t this is bad!!" he said as he watched his left hand fall off.
Shimin smiles and says,
"Man, it must really ** rabble ** to be you, why not give up now, and we can forgo anymore pain you might feel. Continuing this fight is pointless, why not die peacefully by execution?"
Surrots pulls the lever again, this time it's a bleeding leg. Shimin falls while attempting his next charge.
"What the hell?! My ** rabble ** leg, it's what the hell did you do?!!?!, fine take this, if you want it to end so bad."
Shimin leaps forward as fast he can on his injured leg, and with a flash step he hurls his zanpaktou at Surrots slashing the side of his throat.
"I am not done yet," and Surrots pull the lever again while running at his opponent directly, it's three bombs, then a huge explosion, and the blast send Shimin falling through a wall.
"How pathetic, his zanpaktou killed him." Shimin says while getting to his feet slowly and dusting himself off. "Why did he even bother trying this, if he wasn't able to even make me release my zanpaktou." Looking down at his leg, "Better get that looked at, I think I'll just as soon as I finish that smoke first though."
As Saikoro runs towards the final turn into the meeting hall and feels Surrots and Ru die. "It's just me now, come on Luck don't fail me now." He rounds the corner and sees the guards, and dispatches them both by gutting them as he runs by. He then runs inside and immediately falls to one knee, "Sh*t this spiritual pressure, it's way too much..."
A man standing next to what appears to be the Prince challenges Saikoro,
"It is a miracle you made it this far, the fact that you didn't lose consciousness is a testament to how lucky you are." The man starts walking toward Saikoro, " I am Ryu, Personal Bodyguard to the Prince, and these are his friends Moku and Noku, and you will not lay a finger on the Prince, it is my sworn duty to see he is not touched by unclean hands on pain of death." He raises his zanpaktou to behead the assailant.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" Saikoro manages to roll the dice by trying with all every fiber in his being, "Come on 7!!!!!!!" It hits 7. " YES!!!! NO, YOUR FINISHED!!!!!" Just then the four of them dropped.
Squad 11's Captain Mugen, quickly followed by his lieutenant, arrive and both looked upon the scene in awe,
"What the hell?!?!? These three are supposed to be the biggest bad ** rabble ** in all of the Soul Society, and what the hell are these dice?!"
"Bloody hell," said Kurino, "are they all dead?"
"Looks there one who is still alive," said Mugan, as he sees Saikoro getting off the ground. "Leave this bad ** rabble ** traitor to me, you look to see if there anyone still alive who need help, Kurino.
"Will do." and Kurino immediately starts her search for the living.
Drawn by the commotion in the meeting hall, others start arriving, as Kurino spies the first one through the doors, she turns to the man and orders him to, "Get the medics!" As he turns to leave, she finds the Prince and his bodyguards, they were still barely alive, and with a shout commands him, "Quickly now! The Prince has been injured." The man hurriedly sped away on his errand.
With a cry of "TRAITOR!!!!!!!" Mugan rushes Saikoro, who raises his sword to parry. Mugen goes low and sweeps him, and Saikoro leaves his feet. Mugen then turns around and stabs him in the gut, running Saikoro through. Mugan looks down at the fallen traitor, Saikoro and says, "The least you can tell me is why you did all this."
Saikoro goes into a lengthy explanation, of how he and his two friends joined the 13 Court Squads to be able to help the poor people, such as their families, but found themselves not be able to, so they rebelled. In time, when they were able to communicate with their zanpaktou's, they found themselves cursed for their betrayal. How that there was someone in Seretei who gave them detailed maps and routes for where the guards would be a certain times, so that they could make their way to the meeting, and that someone let them in. All of which would remain a mystery for some time.
Later that evening after the invasion, the Seretei was still not at rest with all inquiries to all Squads and their possible roles in what happened. Yamamoto held a meeting with the captains and lieutenants to conduct a formal Inquiry.
"Yuki Hana as captain of the advance guard, why was it not you, instead of Shimin that was the one who was able to dispatch one of the assailants. He passed through your sector first." She sounded flustered as she replied, "I was totz at my station though, and so was Yoshikuni, but we didn't see anyone."
"Sir! It's like they knew how to get right around us without..." Yoshi added before being interrupted by Yamamoto.
"You will speak only when spoken to!!!!!" Yamamoto commanded.
The inquiry goes on for hours. The next interviewed was Squad 3.
"This is most disappointing. You, Kenshin, have been reliable for many years."
"I know sir, and I was patrolling my area.
"And your Lieutenant, where was she?"
"I don't know where Uru was."
"This is inexcusable, as a captain, you should know where his people are at all times! What do you have to say for yourself young lady?!" demands Yamamoto.
" I already told you when they found me, I had been attacked by that big guy! He nearly ripped my arm off! If I hadn't been there, the old man I saved would have died!"
"Watch your tone, Lieutenant!"
Sometime later, Squad 4 is called for questioning,
"Ayumi, it saddens me to say that because of the fact that you could not heal the Prince's condition, you are being banished from Soul Society." said Yamamoto.
"How can I or anyone else keep him from being turned into a Jin once the soul chain is broken?! How can it be my fault?"
Speaking out of turn, Rei said, "If she goes, then I do too."
"No, Rei don’t do it," cried out Ayumi.
"Do not throw away your career over this, we need you." Yamamoto said.
" I will follow my captain until the end!!!" Rei said throws his lieutenant arm band on the ground and storms out.
Then Shimin is brought in and Yamamoto yells at him,
"As for you, you weren't even in the right place commanding your troops! The only reason you won't be executed is because you dispatched one of the assailants."
"I was getting tired of this place anyway." responds Shimin.
"How disrespectful! Out of my sight!" roared Yamamoto.
After all this Mugen was questioned too, and in the end all the captains in question were banished for failing in their duties, their lieutenants followed them.
Elsewhere, the king has had his son the Prince, as well as Moku, Noku, and Ryu brought before him, all quietly await their fate. With a heavy heart the king rises and passes his judgment on them.
"You know now what you must do, as I cannot see myself killing my own son, so we will forgo that, but only because you are my son! You cannot stay now that your soul chain and soul sleep has been severed, and yet my son you live! That is the mark of the Jin, and with that I must banish you, not only from this castle, but also from the Soul Society itself. This is indeed a dark day for my kingdom, and the darkest day of my life. We lost so much, so many Captains and Soul Reapers, and the artifacts from Squad 12's lab' and to top it all off, I have lost my precious son."
Turning to the guards, he commanded, "Take them away!" and with that they were escorted from the palace and towards the doorway leading to the human world, while a father's heart quietly broke.
