Originally the Fan Fiction folder, the folder has since been redefined by the community and the board admins so a refereshed batch of guidelines follows:

1.  No porn/hentai type works.  Keep in mind it's a 13+ community.  If you post obviously over-the-top or patently offensive material, even on an alt, your main SN may be banned from the forum.

2.  Using board members as characters in your stories and works without their permission is not allowed.

3.  The folder is here to act as a kind of creative outlet for the ASMB.  You can post anime or comedy fan fiction, fan art, etc, which is what most people post, you may also post and share original works if you so chose. 

4.  All posts and works must be compatable with the board guidelines and TOS. 

5.  This is only a forum to post and share with your fellow ASMBers.  WS/AS/CN/Turner does not accept unsolicited ideas or stories through the message board or otherwise. 

If anything else comes up, or if anybody can think of anything else that we should put in here, let me know and I'll add it to the OP.

Yo what's up? I am a new ASmer. I was referred here by a fellow writer in the "real world". I would like to post some stuff on here (character sign-up requests, my story, etc.) however I am not able to. Why is that?

New members can't make threads for 48 hours. To to keep down the spamming I think. After 48 hours you can make all the threads you want

I've made an account, now why can't I make a new Thread/Topic/Message?

In order to make new threads (or New Messages) you must meet a few requirements.  This is to weed out people who aren't as "committed" to the whole Internet experience as we would hope.  

The requirements are:

1. 48 hours since registering
2. 50 page views on the boards
3. at least 50 minutes online.  

You can check how long you have to go on your Profile page.  You can however still reply to other users in existing threads.

EYE, I very much appreciate the welcome and the help. I plan on being committed so I will wait out my 48 hours then. I would give you Kudos but I guess I cant do that either yet.
