Chapter one

Let’s rock

Rock knew this was going to happen. It always did. The job had gone wrong and they were being shot at, no matter what it was or where they had to deliver it they always got shot at. He was used to it by now. His crewmates were busy as usual Dutch their calm, collected and always cool leader piloting the old PT boat they called the black lagoon, Benny their resident tech expert keeping his electronic eyes and ears open for anymore threats and finally there was Revy also known as two hands his partner and lover although Dutch and Benny didn’t know about the latter, she was typically the one shooting back. The glow in her eyes when she shooting was one of concentration and death; it chilled rock to the bone. The job was supposed to be simple all they had to do was deliver a shipment of drugs and guns to Jun hai island around 25 miles from the tanker ship that had given them the cargo but they had run into other pirates who saw the opportunity and took it. Rock as usual was hiding out in one of the cabins, his job typically involved negotiations and making sure they got the money.  The boats opened fire and Dutch maneuvered the boat to dodge the incoming fire. He gave Revy permission to shoot; she was armed with an Uzi submacinegun and a handheld grenade launcher. On Dutch’s count she leapt onto the first boat and started shooting they didn’t stand a chance. She took out the next boat with her grenade launcher and suddenly everything was quiet. As the sun started to set they arrived at their destination and handed over the cargo. The man that met rock at the pier was big and gruff he looked South American ‘’ here’s the cargo you ordered from balalaika’’ he said in the most friendly way possible the man just grunted and handed him his payment. It was typical of people in this business just get paid and get out no small talk. The sunset was unusually beautiful rock thought he put it out of his mind and got back onto the boat. A few hours later they docked in roanapur the city where the worst scum of the earth resided. They headed down to the yellow flag bar and like usual Revy and rock were having a drinking contest. The night was fun. This would be the last night they would get on the last normal day of their lives because somewhere between the earth and the moon a force was gathering… soon it would begin.

Chapter

2

The invasion

Of

Roanapur

Revy was really hung over. Why the fuuuuuudge did I have to drink so much goddamn rum she thought as she climbed out of bed naked. Whatever happened the night before was a blur of gunshots and booze. She climbed into the shower and let the hot water run all over her body after that she put on her usual clothes which were a pair of combat boots a black tank top and cutoff jean shorts she also put her long hair in a pony tail. When she was done she headed over to the lagoon company HQ. Rock was sitting on the couch in front of Dutch’s desk reading a playboy. Dutch himself was doing paperwork and Revvy guessed that Benny was hold up with his computers working on something.  Revvy turned on the crappy TV that Dutch had bought and sat down next to rock. There was nothing good on so she flipped the channel to cnn. They were talking about violent video games when the anchor stopped talking and put his hand up to his ear and said ‘’ladies and gentlemen we are being told something is happening in New York  we now go live to times square’’ thank you James the reporter in times square said ‘’only moments ago new York has come under attack witnesses claim to have seen hundreds of ufos oh my god hank get this get this’’ he yelled pointing behind the cameraman hank pointed the camera toward one of the ufos it was hovering less than a block away from them. Dutch and rock stood up and looked at the TV rock went to the room where Benny was and called him over ‘’oh my god oh my god it’s opening fire’’ the reporter yelled suddenly a taxi to their left exploded and the screen turned to static. The signal shifted back to the news anchor he was in shock ‘’ well I don’t know what is going on but we will try and keep you updated as long as we can’’ he held his hand up to his ear again and said I’m being told that the president is holding a press conference we now go live to the white house. The screen cut to the white house press conference room Clinton was standing there ready to take the questions. A dozen or so reporters were crowded around the stage they were all trying to talk at the same time until one of them shouted ‘’Mr. President Mr. president has there been any attempt at communication from the invaders’’ he looked at the reporter and said no not at this time and another reporter asked if the military had been mobilized yet the president replied yes the military has been mobilized and we are evacuating the major population centers as I speak. Suddenly the secret service burst into the room with their guns drawn and yelled RUN RUN RUN WE HAVE TO GET THE PRESIDENT OUT they shoved him out of the room and a flash was seen off camera. The camera collapsed and all they could see was bodies dropping down in front of it. Rock was at the window and looked up ‘’uh guys you have to see this’’ dozens of UFOs were in the sky; they were landing and dropping off troops. Dutch wanted to panic but he didn’t show it. He and Revvy went to the back room where they kept a large amount of guns. She took extra ammo for her berretta m92 sword cutlass specials and a colt commando assault rifle. Dutch grabbed the brand new binelli m4 shotgun that he bought from the rip-off church and his signature revolver alright he said ‘’we have to get to the lagoon it’s our only shot at surviving this thing Benny go start the car I’m gonna leave our guests a little surprise rock go with him you too Revy got it she replied. When she got to the door she looked back Dutch had already rigged the place to blow as soon as anybody burst through the door. Dutch took the wheel and peeled out of the parking spot just as the alien troops were about to catch up to them moments later they heard the unmistakable sound of c-4 blowing up. The city was in chaos everybody was shooting. Some people even took the time to loot shops. Rock could not believe his eyes ‘’this is like something out of a science fiction movie’’ he said. Dutch made a sharp left turn and the whole car shifted he was dodging laser fire from a UFO that was pursuing them. When they got to the dock they all quickly got into the lagoon. The UFO was still hot on their tail. Thinking quickly Revy grabbed the arwen grenade launcher she kept at the dock and took the thing down in one shot, as they were leaving two more UFOs tried to stop them. Revy fired the grenade launcher again but it was out of ammo. They fired at her but she dodged their assault easily. Dutch ordered Revy to get on the brand new AA gun he had installed in the lagoon. She had a hard time taking them down because Dutch was moving the boat around trying to dodge them. Once they were in her sights they went down in a heap of metal, fire and smoke. As the lagoon was heading toward the open ocean Dutch couldn’t help but think about hotel Moscow.
