so i tried to google it but all i got were these stupid programs that just changed my voice to sound like some one else 

the ones L and Near use lets them layer the voices over each other so if ou know a program that can do that please tell me

Well first of all, I don't know if those are considered legal for civilians to own.  Lotta people I know would use them in the wrong way.  

Best bet is to look on an electronics store site.  Or you can always try E-Bay

Well, it doesn't work in real time, but if you just want the effect, the voice changer L uses comes with Garageband. With a little tweaking, I even managed to modify it so I sounded like L. (Being female, I didn't sound right without the modification. I sounded more like Near...)

oh it works i could recrd my own voice but i tried it with this audio book i had it sound just like near

i still wish i could do it in realtime

I really want one of those voice changy things! I'd call up some of my friends and tell them secrets that only I would know about them. I'd get them paranoid so badly. ;D

I've been searhing for a voice program like that for a while now but sadly no results yet. I have, however figured out how they do it. Notice they have to press a switch every time they use it? It's a phone voice changer system. They connect the mic up to it and then to the phone jack on the laptop. I found that you CAN buy an actual phone voice changer for $35.00 on amazon but I'm wanting a simple, free program. That shouldn't be too much to ask, ya?
