Woo-Hoo!
Jon is doing four shows right down the street from where I live in less than two weeks from now. The shows are part of the annual Bridgetown Comedy Festival.
Two of the shows are totally DELOCATED based! Wow. It's goona be a blast. A Variety Show late Saturday night and then on
Sunday afternoon a Delocated Panel / Q & A ( with Jon G., Janeanne G., Todd Barry, Amy Schumer, Yung-I Chang, Steve Cirbus, and Ali Farahnakain ). I just found out about this today and I'm pretty excited. Jon is also doing a show with Tim Heidecker ( and some other cool people ) on Friday night
here's a link with detailed info for Jon's performances . . .

Thanks to you two posters. We will have a great time I am sure. Looks like they will also play a handful of clips.
This info was added to the Festival site the other day >
"Join “Delocated” creator/star Jon Glaser and cast members Janeane Garofalo, Steve Cirbus, Ali Farahnakian, Yung-I Chang, Todd Barry and Amy Schumer as they discuss Season 3, answer questions from the audience, and show behind the scenes and unaired clips. Moderated by Brett Gelman."
AWESOME! We ( wife & I ) will have a list of questions to ask. I am happy to say that at this point my wife has also become a huge fan of the show. She had always watched each episode at least once as they aired and then again when I bought the dvd release home. The third season really won her over and now she is totally into it. In fact, over the past week we spend a bit of time every night watching some episodes. All of them, all three seasons ( I recorded season 3 and, of course, I'll by the dvd as soon as it comes out ). Season three was incredible and my head is still spinning from the way it all ended. Only a few more days until the shows . . . . . .

The shows were excellent! I'll write review type things in a minute, assuming a few of y'all are interested.
First I wanted to do/say this . . . I pretty much film and/or record audio at every event I go to. 95% of the time with permission.
Sometimes I do go 'stealth'
Jon was cool with me recording. Sweet!
Here is a short clip from the beginning of the show, right after "Jon's" intro song. Not too long ago Jon had his Danner Boots repaired/refinished. The company of from around here. Jon was totally psyched to be wearing the boots out here. Even with youtubes crappy compression the audio and video is pretty nice. Enjoy!

I'm not much of a review writer, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Hope you like it.
The Delocated Witness Protection Variety Show. April 14, 2012. The Bagdag Theater. Portland, OR.
. . . was excellent! The show started well over an hour late and Jon came out strong. After his insane and
super silly intro song he said, "F**k Yes. That's how you f**kin' start a show that's an hour late. F**kin' come out strong,
put yer foot on the gas and you don't let up!" Then he tore into a rap about his boots ( video linked in above post ).
After the boot talk and some other hysterical banter he introduced the first guest, Kurt Braunohler.
Kurt was the 'Warm-Up Guy" on the show. His set was really great. I'm not sure what I expected, but I enjoyed him much more than I would have thought I would. Toward the end of his set he did a bit I really thought was funny. He started talking about 'sad-snacks'. Then he pulled out a hard boiled (already peeled) egg about of a plastic bag. "The saddest of snacks". He then proceeded to pour some salt over the egg and then do what he does while he eats his sad-snack. Read to himself his Twitter Tweets that failed or nobody replied to. So sorry. SO FUNNY. Good bit. When he finished and left teh stage he left behind the plastic bag the egg was in. That pissed "Jon" off. Jon got angry for a minute. He told Kurt that the bag "smells AND stinks". Funny. After Kurt took the bag Jon riffed for a bit again, as he did in between every performer. There were lots of boot references throughout the whole show.
Next up was Amy Schumer. She was also very, very funny. My wife and I both really enjoyed her set. She is pretty brutal and gets pretty dark. I'd go see her again. After Jon came back out and goofed around he introduced the next guest,
"Sand Box". That being Brett Gelman. His act was a bit shorther than the others. Sand-Box is a dude who wears too short shorts and a cheesy floral beach shirt. All of his jokes are puns involving the word sand. During almost every punchline he grabs a fist full of sand and dumps it on the floor. Afterward trying to clean it up with a useless floorsweeper thingy.
Jon started busting his chops about it not working out and taking too long. Sand-Box got really angry. Hahaha.
A lot of people did not really dig it. I thought it was funny. Watching the video earlier I was again laughing.
Next up, Todd Barry. As always. Todd killed. He decided to switch it up and read an article from some hip rag and added his own comments. It was kind of short, but very funny from what I remember. I have not yet looked at the video from his set yet. After Todd came Janeane Garofalo. She was super. Her set was tailored to her day and what she was doing and seeing and feeling in Portland. She was right on the money. She is still awesome.
The last act was the Corin Tucker Band. Although I am not at all a fan, they were fun. They all wore orange ski-masks and Corin's voice for both songs played sounded just like "Jon's". Cool. Jon came up one more time and closed the show out on a great note. What a fun show!
We hung out late-night and chatted with Jon and Steve and Ali and Yung-I and then again on Sunday.
They are all such nice and sweet people. We had a blast talking about the show with them all. Especially Steve.
I'll write more later. I'm thinking this is a bit too long . . . .

That sounds like an incredible experience. I'm so jealous.
Edit: Just watched the videos. Excellent video quality, those turned out nice! Brett Gelman's Sand Box bit was hilarious.

Thanks TheHafk! I'm glad you liked the videos, I'll post more throughout the week (from both shows).
It was an incredible weekend. We saw a lot of funny people and met a bunch of folks we are fans of. Everybody was cool.
Among many comedians, Tim Heidecker was hanging out for the live Delocated show. Too many highlights to list them all,
but I will say I was pretty stoked to have Jon G. & Steve CIrbus sign my Delocated DVD, also had Jon sign my copy of his book.
One of he coolest things was watching the whole original segment that was to be that start of season 3 . . . " -ka! ".

Here's a clip from Kurt Braunohler aka Warm-Up Guy. I've been asking some of the comedians about what to post or not post and Kurt suggested this bit. Cool. I wrote about this above, funny stuff.
