According to my on-screen schedule, Nicktoons is beginning a new continuity of Dragonball GT on weekdays at 2 PM/1 PM Central which encores at 5 PM/4 PM Central (Except on Fridays when one episode gets replaced with Wild Grinders).  This replaces the erstwhile weekday run of Kai.

I for one am kind of excited for this.  A steaming pile of filler but one that is nonetheless intriguing and from the beginning!

Both are bad, I am glad Toriyama retconed GT, I would be heartbroken if he actually approved the series as canon

And now it seems like they're intent on running the first 2 episodes of GT into the ground! They just showed Episode 1: "Devastating Wish" yesterday, Now they're showing it again. WTF!?

I don't need animated, Dragonball Onlines backstory is enough for me, it satsifys everyones desire to know what happens and then some.

Who would have guessed that it was Mr. Saten keeping Freeza army from taking revenge. They figured only strongest man on earth could have defeated Freeza, and waited for his death to strike back.

So one thing I've been wondering about the Nicktoons version of GT: is it the "rap" version that was aired on Toonami back in the day, or does it actually use the original score with the exception of the OP, recap, and preview?

My on-screen guide dates the episodes as 2005.

Canon or not, I think the return of the Tuffles is pretty inventive.  So what if Toriyama actually meant for Frieza's revenge to take place when Hercule died...

They can't use the original Japanese score because the edited footage is only synced with English music including the rap. It a shame as I would have watched every episode religiously if it used the original Japanese score but I am happy it's on for kids to enjoy.

I actually enjoy GT, always have since the entire series is full of non canon crap and silliness that most accept at face value so why should GT be the main target of hate? I also hate Z's ending and love GT's Japanese score, it's f**king beautiful.

I liked Episode 5 of GT. It seems to me like it inspired Episode 9 of the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime.

Anime filler inspiriing canon manga?! What is this madness??

OTOH, it may still be that the FMA manga inspired the storyline of Imecka...

I believe the English score of GT fits the mood of the series perfectly.  Sure it still has its comic moments, but the countdown to absolute destruction theme is underlying and the music reflects that better than even the English score of DBZ.  However, that being said, I sometimes feel I'm missing out never having heard the original Japanese score of GT.

All in all, the Nicktoons re-air is giving me a fairly convenient way to relive the series these days...

The English score completely changed the atmosphere of GT into something trying to be dark and serious, which it wasn't in the first place.

Please watch at least a few episodes of GT with the Japanese score, then you might understand why so many didn't watch it at first in English. At least listen to Don't You See and Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku. 

Though it's your opinion, if you honestly like the English score at the end of the day then that's cool. I am happy that it is on TV again for new kids to see though.

Dragonball online, a MMO with a back story completely written/overviewed by Toriyama himself. It completely retcons GT in every possible way. Here are some other cool facts.

Buu reads one of Satans porn mags(the same one Goku read when training with Roshi), Buu desired love and created a female buu named Boobie, and started the Majin race.

Satan retires from the world tournament since Buu no longer has a interest in fighting and is more occupied with his new family.

Goku and Vegeta go off to space near the end of there life to have a fight to the death, no one knows the outcome, asummed both died.

After his Fathers death, Gohan writes a book about Kai control teaching earthlings how to control Kai, Martial Arts become more popular then ever.

Satan dies and remnants of Frieza plant trade federation attack Earth.

The combined efforts of Tien, Krillian, Yamcha, Pan, Trunks and Goten send them packing(pan is in 40, Goten and Trunks are in there 50's, and everyone else is 80's).

No longer able to hide, each of them opens up a gym to pass on their techniques and training to a new generation(this is a basis on fighting styles in the MMO)
