The first 67 episodes were re-dubbed. That's all they're doing, though. The rest will be left as is.

That was always my one complaint with DBZ. I love the serires and if you can sit down and watch a few in a row its great. But I remember many an afternoon thinking...."my word how long is it going to take to kill Frieza!!!! Come on!" lol. It's part of the charm of the series but sometimes it was a tease when you thought they would get somewhere and you actually were still 4-5 episodes away from the resolution of the fight.

Yup I agree, too dragged out. I think it's the longest saga of the series. Majin Buu or Frieza.

They should redo the Frieza Saga too. That was FUNimation's first or one of the first dubs they did, and the script they used to do back then were kinds lame. After the Garlic Jr. they started to get more professional about it. I doubt they'll redo such a long saga tho.

Well, yeah. Some of the lines in the Frieza saga were kinda goofy, lame, or just plain weird...heh.Gohan: Good ol' Namek...Where balls are born.King Kai: And just ten cents a minute. That's my rate! Hey, I still got it! Hee heh snort snort snort.Frieza: We could have been so good together...Bulma: Hey home boy.Boy those were funny. But to be frank, that is the dialogue that I grew up with. When I think back to the Frieza saga, the dialogue is one of the first things that comes to mind. I grew used to their old fashioned voices and sayings, so taking that away would kinda mess things up for me.

Well, Frieza did look kinda like a woman in his restrained form. I gues FUNi based his voice on that, to the dismay of children watching the show across America, unfortunately...
Even so, I got used to his voice rather quickly.

ROFLMAO!! Just look at that! It's.. weird. XD They should really REALLY fix those dialogues. I don't think I can go about watching the series again with that dialogue, its too goofy. I'm more used to the Cell/Majin Buu's more serious kind of dialogue.

Ah, come on. It was a great way to introduce the series. After the defeat of Piccolo in Dragonball, it was expected that things settled down. Besides, they had to introduce Gohan somehow, and the Pioneer version just didn't cut it, heh. I actually enjoyed the peaceful scenery; I knew it wouldn't be peaceful for much longer.
Ugh, I really didnt need Gohan yelling Mommy and Daddy and saying Mr. Butterfly. I've lost some respect for him.
But seriously, that was pretty sad, I lost interest...really quickly. Maybe if it was back when this was new and I didn't know what was going to happen and the animation was new I wouldn't have lost interest...but man...that was boring...-_-

Bah, IMO, all of dragonball was better than that...I actually really liked DB...more than some of DBZ....and more than all of DBGT.

That's really interesting to hear. I've never met anyone who liked the DB episodes better than DBZ. I guess I just stay too much within my group of friends.
Well I guess it's because I liked the concept of the Red Ribbon Army and the World Martial Arts tournaments being the main focus. Instead of with DBZ you get these aliens who are all super powered, it gets boring and repetitive.
Also it was fun seeing DB since I saw DBZ first because then you get to see the origins of Goku and his training which I found was rather humerous. I think I would probably have a different opinion if I saw DB first though.
