The situation as is, that I am currently in the process of getting this said situation fixed, no guidelines have ever been set up as far as gifs, and previously any gif banner that has been placed on any board, had to be run through Humbug before it officially was to be put up.

The reason for this is because of the multiple issues than can happen when a gif banner is placed up on a folder, slowdown issues to be exact, one reason we run this by Humbug first.

This process has taken quite a long time, now this thread will serve as your own platform, speak your mind on what you guys would like?

If I should put the banner up or if any of you are willing to wait out the process until I can get official word on this?

However, if I do place this banner up, if there are any issues, whether the banner isn't loading correctly, folder/site lag from the banner, I urge you to contact me immediately.

This is my job, to enhance the board experience for the fans of the show.

I have heard from you already, I believe it's time for the fans to step up and say what they have to say on this subject. Also I ask you remain on topic, this thread subject is not about my job but about the banner. Once again put up a banner is not apart of my job, in the end it is my decision that if I feel a new banner should be put up, then I can put one up, if I don't, I reserve the right to do so. Realize that this is not built to please just yourself, but the entire Durarara folder. I want to hear it from them, what they want. If they feel I should wait on an officially word than, I will do so, if they want it up, then I will also do so. I will however not put it up just because you believe 'insulting' me, and acting in such a childish manner, will help you get your way.

Good news, I recieved a message from Humbug concerning the banner. You will be happy to know that permission is no longer needed to put up the gif banners, which means from now on these these things will be placed up as soon as the new month begins.

For those wondering why this took so long, Humbug has been dealing with computer issues and crash for the past couple of months which led to a delay in his response. So things happen and things have been straightened, I want to thank you for most of you being patient and waiting while all of this was happening, and it's good to have Humbug back and on the move.

I would like to however state, that with this discussion, if anyone wants to try there luck at making a gif banner and starting the contest all over, then go right ahead, I would love to see what you all can do.

In closing, I would like to say one more thing, I did indeed ask Humbug for clarification on this one. Know that banner changing is apart of my job, the decision of what goes up and when is up to me, as is allowing a Banner contest to run on this board. This notice is to simply acknowledge previous statements that believed that banner changing was essential to my job. Changing up the banner monthly is indeed up to the HELPeR's themselves.

With that said, I hope you enjoy the work that cidthekittyisfun and myself put into coming up with that banner, and I hope you enjoy next months as well.
