I deleted my previous post so that I could say something slightly more serious.
Referring to the thread title, yes, I'm poking fun. Trolling? No. These are direct screenshots from the show, to drive home a point. There is plenty of "gay" to be had in
DRRR!! and plenty of other anime. If the banner depicting Izaya touching Shizuo's face (shocking!) is so offensive, then clearly these screenshots are equally offensive. Look at the second picture. Their faces are touching! How gay! And what could be happening in that fourth picture? Oh, my goodness, the gay level is off the charts! Shield my eyes from this anime that promotes a gay, politically correct agenda!
Affection between males is not offensive, and certainly not "patently offensive." If you* think that the picture in the banner implies that Izaya and Shizuo are about to knock boots, then certainly you would think exactly the same thing about the fourth picture I posted, that is, if you didn't already know that Masaomi was tickling Mikado in that scene. It's maddening to see folks get so upset about nothing. There's no "there" there in the banner. Not whatsoever.
If I wanted to troll, I would deliberately post more yaoi fanart to get a rise out of folks. But this is directly from the show.
