I already knew Horada was a coward.  Very satisfying finally seeing Masaomi knock him on the ground, and Kadota and his 30 guys going undercover.

Now to the second half.

Kinda nice seeing Simon give Izaya what's coming.  If it wasn't Anri, it had to be him.  Really surprised Saki sold Izaya out to Simon, for once.

Now to wait for Episode 25 next week.

I was under the assumption one of the episodes addressed this. Basically, Celty no longer cares about the head, she's happy just being herself, and if she got the head back, she's scared that it would change her in some way. That's what I gathered from the episodes focusing on the head, anyway.

Remember, this whole fight between the gangs was an attempt to wake Celty's head.  Now that his plan was foiled, there isn't much he can do... until he comes up with another scheme.

Wow, I totally forgot about that!  I wasn't sure what the hell he was doing or why, but now I remember back to his valkyrie speech and Valhalla and all that.  The head's sleeping, so he theorized it would take a LOT of violence to wake it up or something.

Well, one more episode next week, and it features a special guest from American Idol Season 6...or something!

Let's see how the anime gets wrapped up...

Other than the fact that Izaya is still alive, and Celty still didn;t give Shinra an answer to his long ago proposal (she's "seducing him"...so is that a yes? Or no?) I liked this ep a lot. Really. It ended rather quietly, almost exactly the way it began, which isn't too bad. It also had a chance for Mikado and Anri to get together which I was rooting for at the very start.

But we do have one more ep after this...wonder what THAT'S gonna be like..

But I did still love the show. It was right up there with Bebop as something refreshing and different.

But do not go into Television Without Pity whatever you do. They hated the show down there, said it was 12 hours of their lives they wonl;t get back, said it was slow pacing, uninteresting characters, it went no where, etc.

Geez, were we watchning the same show?! Seriously, don;t go in there, they'll eat you alive!

They apparently hated the show so much that they got the hours wrong. It was 12.5 hours. We watched 25 episodes of this anime so far (including the first special episode). So no, I don't think the TWOP forum members who complained about Durarara were watching the same show. 

Anyways, someone reminded me that stopping at the Yellow Scarves arc, even if it was considered the worst novel of the series, was a good move because of a few major things. One of them is obviously because the YS arc wrapped up all the semi-major plot points introduced in the show (Celty's head will most definitely be the main plot point that expands the entire series, so it's obvious that wouldn't end within the episodes provided). But the big thing is...

The next arc after the YS one introduces the actual main villain of the series. I know what you're thinking. What about Izaya? I'm not answering that.

Too bad this new villain probably won't be animated anytime soon.

It will be interesting to see what route, if any, Durarara!! takes with new anime.  Would we have a new TV series, a series of OVA's, or maybe a couple of movies?

This was based on novels? And that's not even the real end? i did not know that! Oh man, I hope this had a good run, so they can make more eps based on more books. i admit, I'm hooked on this! This is right up there on my list of animes, I think #3 after Bebop and Moribito. I do want more, especially more adventures with Celty.

I can't believe this show is over already .

I had no idea we were up to 24 already ,and I've heard 25 isn't really a part of the main story .

This can't be it .  There has to be more .

I just got to like this show and look forward to Saturday nights again .
