Durarara Monthly Banner Contest

now taking submissions.

horray for the new show! if you still don't know, you're living under a rock like them guys in the gecio tv ad. because adult swim finally manned up and got a new show most of you will enjoy for the summer season.

you will be submitting your own Durarara banner for each month and follow any rules that won't get you banned for some mistake you overlooked.

as it suggests, its a monthly contest, you can re-submit your previous banner if you didn't get the win for the month or make a new one. your choice, no pressure at all.

submissions for new month banners are two weeks before the new month start, otherwise i think i covered all the bases. if you need more help or info, contact a SwimHelper. your SwimHelpers for the Durarara folder are: CC-Kallen and LoverDemon

if you cannot reach them, contact other ACTION folders SwimHelpers or a Mod to help you out.

new new edit:

deadlines for submissions are the last day of each month the day before the last day of the month no later than 6 PM Central Time (if you don't live in the Central Time Zone this would be 7 PM Eastern Time, 5 PM Mountain Time and 4 PM Pacific Time.).

2nd new edit:

voting takes place when there are at least two person who have submitted their banners.

voting will commenced immediately after the submission deadline is over. so 6 PM deadline ----> voting time

voting will end 2 days after the last day of each month.

the voting system point grid: 1st=3 points 2nd=2 points 3rd=1 point

I'm going to be a party pooper here, I do not like the gradient background color along with the clouds filter. Also, the outer glow of the characters have too much of a yellow tint to them, along with the gradient overlay of the font. Sorry.

@ egg - lol awww well i basically experimented with that banner since ive been trying to learn about diff textures and brushes and gradients and stuff on photoshop but anywhoo if you think its too much i could go back and make a simpliar toned down version, do you have an ideas? i dont mind its fun learning an trying out diff things!

@ dreams - yesssh i wonnder who (ah but thx for that pic i was gonna use it as my desktop but thought well with the whole shizuo vs izaya thing why not use that as a banner. that and i dont rly have many non-yaoi pics ones of those two <_< )

If its anything like the other contests (which it should be cuz they're all supposed to be molded after the OA one) then yes you have till the 30th

OA is a trendsetter. and i guess i should re-edit my first post to clarify the deadline.

although i still don't know how you count up the votes in OA.
