Alright, now that we have the Halloween contest set up, let's get this up and running.

Alright, since this is for October, how about we set a theme to this and go for a Halloween banner?

Since this is getting started a little late, we'll tack on a few days.

Submission will go from Today (Sept. 27) to Oct. 3.

Voting will take place on Oct. 4th.

And a winner will ber picked on Oct. 6.

Now we can go about this two ways, we could of course go with the tradtional Thanksgiving kind of banner.

or

We could take all the banner that have been made by everyone, re-size them and have them rotate when the page is refreshed (like we did when Cidz and Tuttle tied) And this would include everyone who submitted a banner in this thread even if they didn't win the voting (Well of course except for conan's Halloween banner). I think it might be a cool way to show in the traditional sense of the Thanksgiving spirit, to show thanks to people who took the time to make the banners and give each one equal exposure.

I'll leave it up to you guys.

There also isn't much of a reason for reporting, I already got all of this approved by a moderator, who, has even said that there is nothing wrong with this kind of content, unless it violated anything in the ToS, which it doesn't in any manner. I also made a poll do get the majorities vote, the majority voted and in the end it was voted into the banner.

I should have used the phrase "inappropriate content" and not "patently offensive content". Anyway, the point is, people weren't allowed to have icons of homosexual kissing, so why should it be allowed in a banner that everyone has to see. I sense some hypocrisy here...

There are some differences in the rules applied to the banners and those for the Image Galleries, mostly because of where the images for each are hosted.

The icons and Image Gallery pictures are hosted on asmb servers and thus subject to Turner Legal's scrutiny. Therefore, they must conform to stricter standards of age appropriateness and copyright observance. The banners are hosted off-site and are temporary, which icons are not. They must observe the TOS like any post; but that is all. As long as the mods and admins vet them out as permissible, they can go up.
