Well I think in japan 14 is the age of consent in japan, but usually parents still have to approve. This is why so many anime have 14 year old characters in them. I used to always wonder why anime used 14 year olds while if it were america we would use 17 or 18 year olds in high school till I found out about that fun fact. I mean Evangelion, Bleach, Gurren Lagann, FMA, one piece, naruto shippuden and lots of other shows based around characters being 14 years old.  Sure you could say that is the "target demographic" but recent polls on anime and manga show that majority of the fans are in their early 20's to 30's for a shonen pool.

I wish they were introduced earlier I just kept going daww every time I saw them XD. I hear they are the source of a good bit of comedy in the novel/manga. And they are big fans of Shizuo and try and set up traps to kill their brother for him so he will like them and let them see his brother.

Once again, I find myself agreeing with you.

Those twins were the lamest of cliches.  They were annoying and disgusting and shouldn't have existed, and I could have gone without knowing they did.  Oh, of course, one of them can randomly beat the crap out of people!  Blah... I hope they were meant to be parodies of such revolting characters, but I still could have done without them.

I'd rather you throw the vending machine at the annoying, pointless, disgusting twins.  I mean, honestly... I can't see what they could possibly contribute to later stories.  Maybe they are meant to be parodies of such characters, I'm not sure.

What is up with that incest fetish in Japan, anyway?  Is it because they are all stuck on the island and had no choice but to bone their sisters?  Then again, the population is pretty big, so that doesn't make any sense, either.  Then again, sister-banging is said to be pretty popular in the U.K., so maybe it is an island folk thing.

Of course, maybe I'm just taking the characters too seriously.  I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that they are meant to be parodies.

Shameless yuri bait. The kissing scene made me facepalm as soon as I saw it. This just feeds my theory that some of these light novels/manga/anime are written with yet-undrawn hentai doujinshi specifically in mind. Anri's boobs bordering on self-parody and the Mikado-Masaomi bromance are other examples of this kind of shamelessness. Nothing against the show, because it's easy enough to ignore, but it's one of my several anime pet peeves.

This is what we in the real world call: Denial. Now it's true that the kiss doesn't make them lesbians (although one of them is a confirmed bisexual, which isn't the same thing but it was worth mentioning) but the kiss was not sisterly. I grew up with two older sisters and they never kissed each other on the lips like that. That kiss had a bit of romance to it and you know it. Instead of trying to defend it why not just tell the truth, that you thought it was a nice kiss and it doesn't bother you that they're related. No one is going to judge you. Look at all of the people in this thread that are into it. Stop being so cowardly, it's the internet.
