Durarara!!

Know you guys love contests and I have many running through my mind.

This month I wanted to go with a nice oldie, that many of you would/should know. For those of you who like Oregon Trail, it would be a little twist on that.

I recall an idea by Jingai a while back still have notes for that noted down because I thought that would be something cool too.

And then, I was thinking of a Karaoke Contest. Sing your favorite ED or OP in Durarara!! or better yet, create your own song and sing it.

Too many ideas, too many choices, I can't really choose, so what would you like this months contest to be?

But for a contest, I am not really sure what I would pick. I haven't really thought of it yet.

I'd say the one that you have the most fun with,  I'm a bad singer, but I'd pick Karaoke just for the fun of it.

I know quite a few that could be used, but it wouldn't be an issue if you wanted to use that site, or upload it on YouTube, etc.

*inorder to post a picture of yourself you have to be order then 18* thats an example

and with youtube that could spell alot of troubles you have more trolls on youtube then you do here

why don't we try something else like a hunt or guessing game

sorry if I'm pushing the singing out of the question I'm just trying to find something that wouldn't put a strain on the mods

You don't have to post an image of yourself onto the video, you can upload videos without images, you wouldn't even have to use your YouTube channel, if people want they could always make a different YouTube account just for this purpose.

But that was only an example, like I said there were plenty of sites to choose from besides YouTube, so it isn't a hassle. So age wouldn't be a difference in this case. People do know the rules of the ToS, and for those that don't that will of course be a rule for the contest, I've run plenty of contests before, so of course I'm going to take every precaution that I can.

Hunts and guessing games have been done a thousand times over.

I sing to myself for fun. Not sure I'd ever record myself or sing in public.

  What idea did I have again? If it was my idea I'll certainly be glad to help out with it, but I can't remember it offhand.

 About Karaoke, it would be possible to do, but the ToS has to be considered. There is a solution to the rule

about minors posting images of themselves however. If you had a stock photo, of say the Guys of DRRR for guys,

and the ladies of DRRR for the girls, and the video was the person singing with that stock image

as the visual, it wouldn't run afoul of the ToS, since no minor would be posting an image of themselves, or have

any kind of identifying images in the background etc. I think you can disable comments on YT now, to keep

trallin there to a minimum.

  Oregon trail sounds kind of fun actually, you could easily have all kinds of things from Ikkebukuro.

Your Slasher contest, it was definitely an idea that I was intrigued by and was originally hoping would have happened last year, but the poll worked against that. The details shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Yes you can, you can keep comments disabled and also set the video to private so that only people who have the link can view it. But that is certainly a possibility, plenty of stock images out there of Durarara!! to pick and choose from.

Yeah, I was planning on incoporating everything in a sense, like a stock of Sushi for instance which would be similar to "Food/Meat", bad areas where gangs would sidetrack you, or certain characters would help and hinder you, definitely something that can connect well with the series, and can be played with and made even more fun, definitely plenty of open options.

Contest Name : Secret Saika

 Contest Prize : One winner gets the ability to post images in the Durarara folder.

  Open Participation for all people.

 Rules :

• Each person participating will find one gift, and submit that gift privately to the person running the contest.

• The gift can be anything DRRR related, like a picture, an AMV, a short (keep it short please) story etc. All gifts must be acceptable to post on the boards.

• The person running the contest will select one of these gifts as the "Secret Saika" gift.

• Every person involved will get a gift like a regular gift exchange. All the gifts will be posted as a list in the contest thread. ex. Jingai's gift. (link to the gift)

• The first person to correctly guess which gift is the "Secret Saika" gift will be the winner. Each person will get one guess only. No mulligans, no take-backs, no guessing on alts. If you did not turn in a gift you cannot guess either.

• The person running the contest will post clues from Izaya as to which gift is the Secret saika gift. Since these clues are from Izaya, and he likes to troll, some of them will be contradictory, or outright false. Each person gets to ask Izaya one question.

• No drama, giving away who gave what gift, or other dumb stuff that would give the person running the contest, LoverDemon, CC-K, any Mod or Humbug a headache.

•  Since it is my contest idea, I will exclude myself from eligibility to win the prize. That just seems like it coudl cause drama.

 Is that going to be enough, or will you need more. I can't think of anything else offhand, the only real trick

is going to be coming up with clues. If you have any questions, or anyone else has anything to contribute,

please feel free to post away. I think I've covered everything, but a second opinion wouldn't hurt.
