Why did they reveal her origin so quickly?

I thought they were going to ease into it but in the 4th episode they reveal just about everything about Celty. It kinda took away the mystique of the show.

The best shows are always short lived.

Because the point of the show is that the human characters are mysterious while the so-called mystical being is not. According to the author, Celty is supposed to be the everywoman (or the most sane at any rate) that links all the characters together. And, as I mentioned before, he's confused on how people think Mikado is supposed to be the everyman character.

A story shouldn't just give people what they want, but also what they didn't know they wanted.
