this was probably the biggest teaser through out the whole series

when was celty gonna find her head  

was izaya gonna do anything with it at all

but in the end nothing happened and nothing ever came close to happening....it's one thing that really annoys me about DRRR!

it fails to give us much answers and the answers it does give aren't really what we had hoped for

celty is still my favorite character it's just she really became less interesting as the series progressed

which disappointed me so much

read the light novels number 4 and up. it continues off from where durarara!! ended off. who knows? once the light novels end there might be a second season!

Hopefully.....i want celty to get the ending she deserves

since well she was the most interesting character and yet nothing was really done with her

in that amount of time things seemed to fall apart for celty as she just became a background character

 I agree. I wish that they had finished that storyline especially since they finished the other storylines.

 But maybe they was showing that Celty was trying to move on with her life without her head. Or she was scared that she would lose what she has now if she did get her head back.

You should also remember that the stuff with Celty's head is the main storyline. If that got resolved, there wouldn't be much for the future novels to go on. And for those who say the Dollars enough, take one look at the antagonists from the Yellow Scarves arc and try telling me that the Dollars attract dangerous villains.

Agreed ten-fold, my friend.  Here's hoping they come out with more animated seasons, because I don't want to have to read a book on the computer.  It's bad enough staring into what is, in effect, a giant lightbulb, and not having the actual book in my hand, but it is also most likely illegal and crappily translated.

Agreed on Shinra, as well.  I hate that guy so much.

I felt like they were looking for a way to dispense with this storyline which was boring and going absolutely nowhere. The whole "Oh, I'm in love with Shinra and I don't need my head anymore" stuff seemed like a cop-out to me. But it was for the better, because I would have preferred it if they never went down that road to begin with.

it truly did seem like a big cop out...she quit her endless search for her head just because some creepy nerd loves her....she was my favorite character in the series and i was disappointed when they did nothing at all with her except turn her into a minor character that barely does anything in the second half

Seriously though, you have no idea how much I absolutely despise Shinra.  I hate him so much for how he's weaseled his way into Celty's life, and how she's allowed herself to be mentally manipulated by him into thinking he actually cares about her and loves her, when he's just a sociopathic creep with a weird fetish that will do anything he can to keep her to himself, regardless of what's best for her.  He actually convinced her to stop looking for her head, when it was him and his father responsible for her losing it!  ARRRGGHHH!  He's such a worthless piece of shit, it's not even funny.

That's for sure.  They're good friends and kindred spirits, at the least.  Shinra is just an opportunist taking advantage of and brainwashing Celty that he isn't a piece of shit and somehow "loves" her.  Blah.
