Pardon my apparent lack of understanding, but I have to make this blunt observation. "In tonights episode, Lady Sakuya tells Eureka not to be afraid of having smex with Renton" I know this isn't the meaning at all, but, when you watch it, keep an eye out for the part that this fits. It sturck me as kinda funny.

just something that struck me as a little odd, if Renton and Eureka are the only ones who can pilot the nirvash, how were the kids able to move it? when anybody else trys to, the controls dont even respond (from the video game).

Well, God knows the video game isn't accurate on everything. Anyway, in the flashback-movie sequence of episode...32 I think, it showed a human moving Nirvash(with test armor) around, but it moved rather clumsily and stopped responding after a time, and contrasted it with Eureka perfectly piloting Nirvash.

My theory is that when the children touched it, it was in a ready state, like with its systems unlocked so it could be sprung into action ASAP. The other times, I would assume they would do what any responsible vehicle owner would do "remove the keys" when they leave.

well yeah, but compare it back to something like morning glory where eureka could barley get it to move at all, and here the kids get it to shift to humanoid mode completely.  Also, keep in mind that guy couldn't get it to change forms, that didn't happen until Eureka piloted it.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was because Renton was nearby in epsiode 40, and was nowhere nearby in episode 26. Eureka needs Renton, and Nirvash does too. Besides, Nirvash moved without ANYONE at the controls in episode 9, with just Renton and Eureka nearby, so its certainly possible.

I see your point, but in episode 9 it moved because renton and Eureka's wills resonated with the Nirvash, it wanted to do what renton wanted to do.  if the nirvash moved every time they were nearby it, that would be quite troublesome to them.  Renton and Eureka werent doing anything to make it move, they wanted it to keep hidden.  whenever it moves, it is responding to something, like in Helter Skelter it moves because of renton and eureka dealing with ray, and it shows the bullet hole right where eureka's head was like 2 seconds ago.

I'm just saying it's capable of moving without Eureka and Renton actually telling it to do anything. I also get the feeling that what the above poster said was true as well, it was left with all safety locks "off" so it could start quickly. Also, Linck just hit the modeshift switch, they weren't actually trying to pilot it or move it or anything.

ah well, who knows, it might be answered in a later episode, perhaps the nirvash likes the kids or something O.o  would be interesting to see them make up for all their annoying screwups by doing something with the nirvash to save the day.

Nirvash IS still a machine - it will work with the controls and whatnot: remember, it was Adrock who showed Eureka how to pilot, not the other way around.

However, with Eureka piloting, and/or with Renton near, it comes alive. It becomes more than just another LFO. Kinda like it was made for them :smileyvery-happy:

i would dissagree on that 2nd part its always been alive, (and its always been diff from other lfos being as it was the first one ever)...... hense only eureka can pilot it till the amita drive.. which boosts the compaq drives mediation capabilities and gives renton as the choosen one the ability to at first pilot it by him self but in the end it relies on his and her sycronized thougths and emotions
