*points out again that the mere hint of spoilers will not be tolerated and there's no need to even mention the possibility of posting them*

Nice to see some actual new people discussing the show in here. I was getting worried that it would be just a bunch of old-timers reminiscing. :smileyvery-happy:

Well, if all you're saying is "I could spoil you but I guess I won't," you don't really need to post. You can always save the tomato pun for another time. :smileytongue:

I don't mean to be a hardass, but when it comes to spoilers in here... I'm gonna be a hardass. :smileyvery-happy: We've had too many problems with people getting hinty in previous discussion threads, and I don't want anyone getting scared off from this thread the way so many people were from those threads.

Just so's it's clear. Nothing personal. :smileytongue:

Going back to the Himitsu Kichi ending theme, I always felt it was kind of inappropriate for the first 13 episodes. I think they would've done better to lead off with "Fly Away" and switch to Himitsu Kichi for 14-26. Ah well. Of the ending themes, I think Himitsu Kichi is my least favorite anyway (I like it, but I think I like all of the others better, Canvas is my favorite).

Well if they need help understading then the plot section and some of the character parts would be good, but not the episode guide. Just my though.

his life in Bell Forest is dull, he has no parents, and the kids at school are jerks to im'

he has things to whine about

how can the first episode of any show prove anything about a character? The whole point of watching is to see the characters grow

i don't know if he's whiny or not... but i feel like the first episode established that he has a kinda negative outlook on things... but he seems to dream big

people who don't like the show always seem to bring up the point that they think Renton is whiny or impotent as a main character, or they say something about E7 bieng some sort of ripoff of different mecha shows

what they fail to see is the immense amout of development that takes place and the depth of the show's scope (these things set it apart more than anything else)

*that is not a spoiler [I defy anyone to explain how that is a spoiler]*
