That doesn't make you a crybaby Cid. Theres nothing wrong with doing that.

I haven't cried over an anime ever. Heck I haven't cried in a while period. I'm not a very emotional person though so thats just me. There isn't a set in stone cool way of reacting to an anime so you're fine. :smileyvery-happy:

Oh boy, I loved the part in Eva with the gun/sword fight between brothers, Shinji willing to risk his humanity for Rei, Shinji joining the control cluster, eva unit 01 speaking, and Shinji and Rei kissing.

The part where a large red sphere encases two of the main charactors inbetween the moon and world. They float in between thw to places and see the giant robot flow way off into space. Then the shere cracks open and lets the world go back to normal.

I didn't even want to admit it at first, i didn't even notic it the first 3 times i watched it. But Last night it clicked as i was watching it.

So you noticed aesthetic similarities and hence Eureka seveN is a ripoff?

well it can either be a really cool conclution to a movie, or a really lame way to end a bad show.

Depending on how they do it

the who show wasn't riped off.

They made their characters even duller

they gave it a cheese hero's story that's been done a million times

and they had a lot of really but scifi story

Calling it a rip off isn't write, more like a wanna be, and a thief.

Believe me, you are NOT lame.

I've cried like a ** rabble :robotmad: ** at the ending of so many animes I'd rather not even go into listing them.

You're awright.

The biggest difference between Eureka seveN and Eva is that E7 has a real ending...

I just don't like it when e7 fans wont accet any type of accusation saying that E7 copied Eva

I'm not just trolling when i say that the last ep of E7 had a lot of similar shots, angles, and scenes that were in EoE

I don't think that doing that makes you a crybaby.  On a side note,  whether it was intended this way or not "im such a crybaby" is a great title for a E7 related thread.  :smileyvery-happy:

Trust me, you're not the only person to be emotionally moved during an anime.  The first episode of Hakusho at the wake, the funeral from FMA, et al.

And its not too lame, even if it is not real.. I think Eureka Seven sent some powerful messages and not to mention the emotional attachment to the characters.. That's what I really loved about this show.

True. 'Hard Luck Woman' and 'The Real Folk Blues' from Cowboy Bebop, 'Affection' from Ghost in the Shell', 'Do You Remember the Promise' from Blood†, and 85% of the episodes of Eureka seveN do that to me. Every time. The main reason I love Eureka seveN so much is the emotional impact it has on me, and the way it causes me to open up and feel what the characters feel. That series has my eyes welled-up one second and laughing the next. It really is an emotional rollercoaster, that's about the best way I know to describe it. It literally wears me out to watch several episodes back to back. During the week of the final episode, back last year during it's first airing, I went back and watched every episode online leading up to the finale. I was a wreck by thursday, when I finished episode #49, and couldn't watch anything else on television. It literally wore me out emotionally, but the finale was so heart-warming it made it all worthwhile. Even after it was over I couldn't think about anything else, television or otherwise, for nearly two weeks. I mean I went to work and everything, and talked about all kinds of stuff, but when I was alone I was thinking about Eureka seveN. I was devastated.

Haha, that's how it was for me.  :smileyvery-happy:

But yeah, the scenes that tear-jerked me most:

Episodes 26-28 (Renton's triumphant reunion with Eureka and Charles / Ray's deaths all evoked tears)
Episode 33 "Pacific State" (Emotional for a variety of reasons, especially with Holland's scene when he sheds tears... really awesome performance by both sub & dub actors)
Episode 38 "Date of Birth" (Eureka reminescing about her days with Adrock to Renton... makes for very touching scenes)
Episode 42 "Star Dancer" (Really, just with that last attempt Anemone tried to make getting in the zone... that with the combonation of the powerful music made that moment a tear-jerker)
Episodes... 44-50 (Seriously, this is one of the reasons why I consider this up there in my favorite series.  From episode 44 on, it's just a non-stop crazy rollercoaster ride of wild emotions.  Episode 44, with those girls, really just touched and sickened me at the same time.  It really gave me a basis to hate the enemy.  Episode 45, when Renton bashed his own arm, trying to make Eureka understand how much she meant to him, no matter who she was or what was happening to her, was just heart-wrenching.  It shames me to admit it, but I almost weeped at that scene... it was just so powerful.  And while the children through the series were mostly annoying, they really shined here all in this one big confrontation.  Episode 46, again, the children were amazing, and that famous scene: "Can I touch them?", I was just grinning with tears in my eyes.  It's sooo not what you'd expect anyone to say... that's just true love right there.  Episode 47, because Renton seeing his dad again for the first time in many years, also, just powerful.  Episode 48 for Anemone's reunion with Dominic, and Episode 49 because of the sheer dread you're feeling for everyone, and that inevitable feeling of upcoming loss.  Episode 50 really got to me, just because of Renton's unrelenting will to be with Eureka, and to break through anything standing in his way between him and her.  Also, just the sheer imagery (Such as the moon & Earth) after the events that had transpired, along with the music to compliment, also really just got to me.  When the series had ended, I couldn't believe it was over.  That was some of the fastest-watching I'd ever done. I was "devistated" so to speak, just because of the sheer power that I had seen in a mere few hours.  :smileyvery-happy:

So there ya have it, those were most of my "emotional" moments, and in my book, some of the finest scenes in anime.

And one thing we all have to consider, half the reasons many of those scenes were so good, was because of Eureka seveN's incredible soundtrack.  For the most part, they knew EXACTLY when to use those insert themes, while at the same time having some of the BEST insert themes and songs I've heard in anime.  Really, one of the reasons the manga (as much as it ** rabble :robotmad: ** to begin with) or the graphic novels will never be as good as the anime, is because of its outstanding music to compliment those scenes.

Eureka seveN is a truly great series, and I am sad to see it leave from [as].  I only hope this series will reach more people every day, so they can all share their feelings for one of the greatest anime series, in my book.

(I swear, I'm a cry-baby girl at heart.  :smileyvery-happy: )
