Seth McFarlene -- you devoted a whole episode to bashing the transgendered community. Why do you have to continue with this berration? You have a VERY huge following, and putting your own personal biased opinion in your television show is very disrespectful. You have poked fun at other communities, but never have been so distasteful. Why are you not taking advantage of this following to make progressive changes? There are no characters, YOU are the voice of every character who speaks on there. YOU can stand up and say "This is wrong, I may feel bigoted towards transgendered infividuals, but I don't have to actively take advantage of my fame to announce it.

You could have kept it tasteful: For example -- the joke about "I hope it's boneless".

THAT was a tasteful joke. It wasn't offending in any way. It should have STAYED like that. That put humor in a group of people who, as a majority, are broken and have very little to laugh about. Then you decided to take it a couple steps too far. --WHY?

Put any minority, ANY minority at all, and say they can go in the yard, and you will get slapped with a lawsuit so hard that it would make your head spin. What disappoints me, is that the transgender community, while small, has a very tiny voice. I find it ludicrous to take advantage of that fact, as we don't have a large legal defense, and to put "jokes" in your mainstream show that is on numerous networks.

Lois saying "you can use the yard" is a TERRIBLE thing to say to a transgender character, especially on television. One of the most prevelant forms of discrimination a transgender individual has to go through is taking care of a human trait called "going to the bathroom", and you are NOT helping the cause by re-enforcing the stereotype that transgendered individuals may not use the bathroom of the gender that they ARE, no matter their history, what your opinion is, or what the populous thinks. It is dehumanizing and you know it.

Family Guy is like major network TV's South Park. They can't help put to be provocative and edgy and feel being less would be a violation of freedom of speech.

But I do agree that they do go too far sometimes. Freedom of speech is a double edged sword.
