Liking Family Guy less and less because...

OK, I just finished watching Family Guy episode "The hand that rocks the wheelchair" and I got a little annoyed about another lazy attempt at sounding intellectual. Louise made a really bad reference to the Florence Nightingale syndrome, am I right?

I guess my main frustration is that Family Guy has turned into that ass hole that tries too hard to sound smart. This ass hole is also super insensitive but it's OK because everyone thinks he's sooo funny. I am liking Family Guy less and less everyday, and having to deal with it more and more through out the day.

I don't blame you, Family Guy is getting more and more desperate for material to the point where the show has become a soap-box for the writer's political views and beliefs.

And for those reasons, the show's mainstream popularity has been steadily declining since last year. Who knows what kind of ratings will be in store for the next (possibly last) season of Family Guy?
like i said, one day you will "know" all about god (and his wrath) anyway. but keep watching your animes.

The jokes won't get any better, trust me. And that kinda pains me to say that as I'm a huge fan of the show. The episode that was aired on Sunday in the US, "Quagmire and Meg," wasn't too bad. But then again, it wasn't a great storyline at all and I don't think the writers are really trying anymore. I think they need to hire someone new who'll give a fresh new approach to the show, but that won't happen. As time goes by, a lot of shows tend to run out of decent material within the first few years of the show, all the gags have been run dry... and in this case, Family Guy is one of those. Just a shame that it won't really get any better than this :/

Yeah there is a fine line between being dead-pan witty and being a jerk. Instead of politics and being controversial, I say just revamp to the original style and stick to raunchy humor and cartoon violence along with taking shots at celebrities that by public opinion need to be taken down a peg. Like take a shot at a B-List comedian that thinks they are funny when in fact they stink, like Sarah Silverman (seriously I'm not even taking a shot I actually took the time to confirm it)

Working to get into animation, better watch out Adult Swim I'm coming for you!

I remember the quote that reminded me how much I #### hate Family Guy was in the one where they left Stewie at home when they went on vacation. They tried drawing an ignorant parallel between the 9/11 attacks and the War on Iraq. Brian was explaining to Peter that the site they were at was where the 9/11 attacks took place, and (for no reason) Peter kept insisting upon violence against Iraq. Brian said, "No, Iraq had nothing to do with it." The punchline was on Peter's behalf: "So... you're saying we should start a war with Iraq?"

Yeah, nice try, Family Guy. You still sound and act like a giant god #### ####.

Mmm... torturing you was pretty fun.
