See, now THAT is a joke I can gt behind.
Want to go write for Family Guy? Maybe it would actually get funny.

Ok, kittypaw3, firstly to those who pointed out FG is 22 mins, I'm sorry, I included commercials. Really, I am very sorry, I don't know how to make it up to you guys. I'm so incredibly sorry. I was just saying that three rape jokes an episode seems like a lot. My overall point was not that they were inappropriate, but that they were easy. Too easy for one of the most watched adult cartoon shows in the US. Family Guy should move on from the rape joke crutch, or at least not rely on it so much.
Secondly kittypaw3, you adorably named biggot. I find it absolutely shocking that you would compare homosexual sex between to cow hands to RAPE. That is detestable.
PS.... The line is "Now they're having BUTT sex, cowboy butt sex." Quotation marks imply that you are writing exactly what was said, and spelling counts (so next time use "they're" for they are not "their"), moron.

I think it's pretty clear that you sir are the idiot here.
Opinions are like butts everyone has one and yours is nothing special so stop sniffing your own farts and bashing other people over your crappy opinion. Not to mention how absurd your made up minimum of 2 rape jokes per episode is, it's a made up average and not some kind of fact.

I'm not sure how I come off as an idiot. I've apologized for considering the show 30 mins long, instead of it's actual 22 mins time. Besides, I haven't hardly said a thing since I posted this message.
I never expected to get so much flack for this message. A year and a half ago, I noticed what felt like an increase in rape jokes on Family Guy, and I posted about it. Thats all. I didn't research the topic, or do a content analysis to find out exactly how many rape jokes are in that season of Family Guy to then find an actual mean amount of jokes.
Look. I realize that Seth McFarlane will be using rape jokes, and that a lot of people find them hilarious. Hell, a lot of them make me chuckle. They really do.
I just wanted to throw the idea out there that FG was using one punchline too often. I'd like to see more variety in that edgy joke book that has brought us so much joy over the last 13+ years. That's all I'm saying.

Seth reuses like... all of his jokes. And I agree that the rape jokes are pretty #### frequent.

No problem. I honestly don't believe there is any subject in the world that is too taboo to laugh at at some point, but I DO expect it to be laughed at to some kind of purpose or with some way of revealing an insight. I feel that laughter at taboo subjects should serve a purpose to take some of the power away from the horrible things and make those who laugh see it as the senseless thing it is, not to make victims feel like nobody gets it. Seth doesn't seem to get this about off-color comedy and rarely, if ever, brings anything new or meaningful to the table that hasn't already been said by someone else more gracefully or more humorously. Comedy should shed some light on things to some degree, and if that is the case, his is a wet match in a dark cave.
I just thought your insight was not only honest, but important to point out. I think Seth has some kind of problem that he needs to work through, because the guy seems to have a fixation on things like this. He can, on occasion, make me laugh pretty hard, but I find watching most of his stuff a little arduous I guess?
And yes. I've started picking out our colors and cake already.
