Yes, u can think fat guy is funny (and you do) and I can thing fat guy is ** blink blink ** (and I do), but the fun is talking about the reasons behind it. Obama can say he's the best, McCain can claim it's him, the debate comes in discussion of the issues.

to tell you the truth I rarely laugh at it. It's just fun to watch. I like it's style. we have no freedoms here. we have to follow adult swim's rules. sorry gay people, adult swim won't let you get married

Yeah it's not a show that you get belly laughs from the entire 10 or so minutes, maybe 15, but it still is ** dragon breath ** funny.  Man I hope they renew it for one more season. FAT GUY AND CHAINS RULLEEE>

I dont understand what there even is to hate about this show. I wasnt that crazy about the first episode but i could tell it had potential, and it just got better and better. Its better than almost everything else on adult swim, and a hell of a lot better than metalocalypse, or saul of the moleman, or a rerun of a family guy episode we all have seen.

Metalocalypse is terrible, it's like the Bratz tv show for metal heads, "Look how super duper cool this band is! They're secret agent millionaires that have girls all over them and they're everything real metal bands pretend to be! Like Danzig tries to put on a tough guy front, but then he gets knocked out with one punch by some fat guy!"

Look at Beavis and Butthead, they aren't millionaires who can play guitar better than anybody else in the world while they're drunk, they aren't super human, that's what gives them character, they ** dragon breath ** at everything, they're losers, if Metalocalypse lived in their parent's basement then the show would be better, but the creators would never write that, it isn't cool for a death metal band to live in their parent's basement.

Wat?  Have you ever even watched the show?

Dethklok aren't superhuman, they're all idiots.  That's like 80% of the show and jokes.  They're super popular, and exagerations of everything metal bands are, but really are complete idiots and are inept with every single thing that isn't related to music (actually, somtimes they're inept with music as well).

Oblivious to violence/Uptight about violence

If you aren't a drunk, loony toon Norwegian, that comes from a broken home, and isn't phased by violence, then you will be discredited as a death metal musician, you will have no respect from the metal head community, what I described is the perfect death metal musician to metal heads, anything else is a flawed death metal musician, or a loser in the eyes of metal heads, loser to a metal head = flawed, loser to anyone else does not mean a flawed character.

Let's keep this thread pure--talk about FG here and talk about Metalacalypse in the appropriate thread.

I, for one, would be willing to give the FG writing team another chance to write a smarter show on a different subject. But like others, I'm done with this show--the humor is unappealing (and boring, as some have suggested).

Personally, I'd be willing to give Fat Guy a chance... I think it has potential-- I never did despise it or anything, and frankly, I was more interested/focused on it than I was on SotMM, which I never thought was that awful either (It just ever managed to keep my attention very long...)

In Fat Guy, everyone thinks Gemberling is the perfect savior of the internet, but really he doesn't care about the internet, he's a horrible person that only cares about himself, he is the opposite of what people make him out to be, if this was Metalocalypse then Gemberling would be the greatest hero and his teeth would glint everytime he smiled, then it would be like the creators of Fat Guy made the show just to glorify themselves, kind of like what the creators of Metalocalypse did, making a whole show just so you can play metal and go on tour pretending you're a rock band instead of cartoonists.
