FLCL movie?

I have just recently checked out this series to see wat the fuss is all about (im only a newfound anime fan) which by the way FLCL is nothing short of brilliant. Some people are blabbing bout the movie, some say its false, others say its for real, some claimed they have a billboard in Japan for a release in 2010.I almost garuntee this topic has been brought up be4 on the boards but im gunna open up a updated disscusion and see wat everyone else knows/thinks.Like all Fooly Cooly fans,a movie would be awesome.

None... nope... nada... never.. Nanca.. Yah... Noh...all the other ways to say no.

No FLCL movie...

It ended fine enough.

Anything more would be beating a dead horse.

Compilation movie is possible.

I would rather not see a continuation and I doubt one would be made either.

I'm not sure how they would make a movie. It seemed to be pretty much sealed up at the end, but I guess it's always possible.

If they did make a FLCL movie, I would pray to god it wasn't a continuation...I mean, if they HAD to make a movie, I'd probably want a prequel or a compliation. But a continuation? God no.

FLCL is perfect the way it is.  A movie can only bring it down, not elevate it at all, considering its greatness as is.  Before I even got into anime, I would catch an episode here and there on [as] and thought, "what the hell?" but I would still want to see more afterwards.

The entire series is only about the length of a movie (6 episodes with about 20 something minutes each) so if they did one they wouldn't have to leave anything out.
I think back to the time when my search first began, I left behind those shores of sand,
For the endless, everlasting world out there,
I know that with this burning passion driving me,
Someday, somewhere, I’ll finally see the light I have searched for everywhere!
When the summer sun is shining, shaking the sails of my heart I know,
(Fly away, glum blue sea)
A brand new world that had been hiding has opened up its doors for me to go,
(Fly away, glum blue sky)
Swaying in the troubled waves, From all despair I can be saved,
For the horizon on the other side is
Yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah, Is what I aim for!
And though I’ve traveled far from where my search began,
Over seas of green and shores of sand,
Through the endless, everlasting world out there,
I know that with this burning passion driving me, someday, somewhere, I’ll finally
See the light I have searched for everywhere!

No, they'd cut it into one movie.

 But...

Worked with Gunbuster and Diebuster.

And they were 6 episodes a piece.

Or how about they take what already exists, and make it affordable to own on dvd.

This.  $200+ on Amazon = no deal for me.

That $15 bootleg on Amazon with the grey cover is reeeeaaally tempting.

Funimation really needs to rescue this, put it on one disc, put a $30 retail price on it, and proceed to make a killing.

FLCL doesn't need rescuing.

Synch Point still owns the license.

Amen to that. Who pays that much money for a little under 3 hours of anime? You can buy an entire 26 episode series for the price of FLCL DVD. Something doesn't add up

But . . .

FLCL > avg. 26 episode anime

And, unfortunately, Synch-Point's parent company, Broccoli USA, went out of business in 2008. Even if it hadn't, the boxset had a pretty limited run planned anyway.
