That sounds incredibly bootlegged. I have the Ultimate box set. It has two eps per DVD. It's horribly overpriced, but it's a really awesome looking thing. Has a few other things inside as well.

If it's not that, and it's not the Limited Edition box set, you're probably buying a bootleg.... unless there's some other release I've never heard of.

The box set just looked too pretty for me to pass up.

And that's why I bought both.

But . . .

FLCL > avg. 26 episode anime

And, unfortunately, Synch-Point's parent company, Broccoli USA, went out of business in 2008. Even if it hadn't, the boxset had a pretty limited run planned anyway.
True and I wouldn't mind paying a few extra dollars, triple the price.
I think back to the time when my search first began, I left behind those shores of sand,
For the endless, everlasting world out there,
I know that with this burning passion driving me,
Someday, somewhere, I’ll finally see the light I have searched for everywhere!
When the summer sun is shining, shaking the sails of my heart I know,
(Fly away, glum blue sea)
A brand new world that had been hiding has opened up its doors for me to go,
(Fly away, glum blue sky)
Swaying in the troubled waves, From all despair I can be saved,
For the horizon on the other side is
Yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah, Is what I aim for!
And though I’ve traveled far from where my search began,
Over seas of green and shores of sand,
Through the endless, everlasting world out there,
I know that with this burning passion driving me, someday, somewhere, I’ll finally
See the light I have searched for everywhere!

I can't really see a movie about this series. It was fantastic, but I think you can't really add on to it.

So then just take everything and make it CGI. It would be interesting to see what they could do with it

All of a sudden I'm happy I have the box set...  it's one of the first anime I ever bought... I didn't know FLCL was so hard to obtain these days...

Hmm... My desire to see more of what could possibly be the best series to eat up 2 1/2 hours continue is making me say "yes... YES.... OH GOD YES!", but my  thinking it ended with such a satisfying tone is making me plot kidnapping the producers... Oh well, if it's good it's good, if it ** Yo Jo e! ** I throw my popcorn at the screen and leave.
While I value your opinion, I also reserve the right to ignore it (you're probably wrong anyway).

flcl is a completley different type of anime then anything else shown on [as] it was designed originally ro be very short in length and ended up even shorter then expected the idea was to make it short and odd and captivating, a movie would be against its very nature, but i do think an extention episode would be nice just to see if it the story could go further in the future.
