Yes... I say go for the rerelease. I'm sure I originally got the Ultimate edition for a decent price. It was one of my first pre-orders from RS.

I think for a little bit FLCL was going for even more... before they announced a rerelease.

the move True Grit with John Wayne is an American Classic, why remake that??? it's not to say that the new one is a bad movie(till the ending at least), the orginal was just better. Jeff Bridges did a **pickle** good job as roster cogburn, but the orginal movie was still better.

And like Faye said, they aren't remaking a "John Wayne classic", they remaking the book it was based on. Your reading comprehension is severely lacking.
and look at FMA Brotherhood, it's a readaption of the manga, but most people refer to it as a remake, thought they usualy follow that witht he quilifer statement that it follows the manga closer than the original. but they still refer to it as a remake. same thing with true grit, they're readapting the book, but just about everyone i know IRL considers it a remake of the John Wayne Movie. i'm not saying the new one is bad, just that the orginal was better, and they should have just left it alone.

and there is nothing wrong with my reading comprehension, perhaps you're not comprehending the fact that most people have not read the novel and many have seen the orginal John Wayne move and consider the new one with Jeff Bridge's a remake of said movie. including myself. perhaps not on the boards here, but IRL, ask around... ... ...

and while no one has specifically said newer is better, they have said older =/= better, the implication there is that newer = better.

I know I'm late but just because people refer to it as a remake, that doesn't make them right.

They are wrong. It is not a remake of the movie. It is another movie that follows closer to the novel.

That is not subjective. Now, what you like better is subjective though.

There is a difference between that and a remake of the old movie.

I'll agree with the majority of people on this one. There are far too many great things in this world that get ruined by making a new series, I would hate to see FLCL fall in that category.
