welcome to the [adult swim] massively multishow elimination extravaganzathon from hell of doom.

first one ever.

rules:

the elimination game will include ALL (every single one) show, one-shot, pilot, bump series that Adult Swim has ever aired that I am aware of.

each entry starts w/100.

you may post a vote no more often than once per hour.

each time you post a vote, you may:
Add (+1) to any entry
OR
Subtract (-1) from any entry
not both.

votes will be tallied once per day.

If an entry reaches "0" at any point in the voting, it is eliminated.

No show may go above "200", unless it is the host folder's show.

Folder Immunity: The folder in which the traveling elimination is currently taking place is considered immune from negative votes, and may also rise above 200 in + votes.

The contest moves on to another folder after reaching 100 total votes tallied.

reminder about post stamps, votes are only tallied if they are one hour or more out from your previous vote. 

a good way to keep track of that is to vote by replying to your last post in the thread if you're voting a lot.  That way you can see even before you vote whether or not you are meeting the timestamp requirement.

Ah, the timing method that steals votes from people, one minute at a time and slaves them to the Boards. Gotcha.

It's actually basically just pretty much a standard thing for a lot of elims.  Makes it easier to count.  also given the general play etc, it is fairer for more players.

In other words, if it was "vote vote vote" then maybe 2 or 3 users would ultimately play as they were the only ones who had the free time to just vote constantly over however long (hours) rendering the exercise relatively futile for those more casual posters still interested in playing along.

Luuv: Intervals are easier to count, given that all the counter needs to check is whether someone votes twice within an hour, as opposed to checking the timestamp of each vote to the last valid vote of the voter. The way you're using is more work for the vote counter, I say.

As for being fairer, I don't see how that is. This way, the voter is tied to the Boards, having to come back to vote about every 60 minutes. With intervals, the voter is free to do other things for nearly two hours before they would need to be concerned about missing a vote. Intervals are much more forgiving.

but remembering each hr isnt so bad. tho i did kinda forget right before my tiem was up during the 12am vote and accidently skipped a vote

oooh I thought you were complaining about there being a time interval period.

timestamp seems convenient for voters.  Not so much for me though yeah.

I might change it up for the next round.  Or try it that way and see if people like it better maybe.  don't want to change in mid thread though.
