Honestly. I have never been so emberassed in my entire life. Not only does Freakinik support the negative stereotypes of African Americans, it also helps those ignorant people think that only black people like this kind of mess, and that we all actually like this kind of stuff. And to the wingwang who posted a thread on how bad this show is because it's shown on adult swim a "white oriented network" you should really go back and take a look at adult swim history. Stop being so **pOp** ignorant. And please. Don't come comparing this **pOp** to The Boondocks. It has a completely different motive. And you know, I do agree that if this kind of crap be shown anywhere, it should be on MTV along with all the other stereotypical ignorant things.

The point of it was to stop hatin', and just have fun! Pure fun! I found it very funny cause I know people that act like the characters on Freaknik. It's a parady of itself and nothing more bruh. Honestly, it's not that serious.

You have no reason to be embarassed. Freaknik is a cartoon meant purely for the entertainment of those watching it. It's not a reflection on you as a person or on black people as a whole. It's just a show. Yes, it's glorifying some black stereotypes, but it's not doing it in a melicious way at all, it's just sort of having fun with them. There will always be ignorant racist people, but I don't get why people who aren't completely stupid shouldn't be able to have fun watching stuff like this just because there are some people out there who have the sociology comprehention of a five year old.

You probably enjoy Tyler Perry.......Look bud, if you can be embarrassed by a cartoon that just says a whole lot about your insecurity of who you are......I watched it, laughed, and moved on......When you went outside today do you think that anyone judged YOU on the content of Freaknik, or by the content of your character.....If you walk around screaming YEEEEAAAAAAH, then rest assured you support, and prove those stereotypes.....If you approach society in a respectable manner, then this cartoon should have little impact on peoples opinion of you.

 Now there are people out ther who will automatically judge you for the color of your skin, but I doubt they even watched Freaknik, and no amount of positive black examples will ever change that.......At they end of the day do you really even give a phukk what people like that think?

naw, not reallly. I mean, yeah, I am melanin enriched, but the show was funny to me. We gotta stop taking everything so seriously. My opinion is this...if you don't want to be stererotyped, then don't be. the end. I've never fit into a box of stereotypicalness and don't plan to now. If anything, you should be embarrassed by how the REAL freaknik not only came into effect but how people behaved there. I've got some video from my younger days that I hope my kids never find. Everyone seems to be complaining about the "stereotypes" in Freaknik, but I have yet to see anyone actually post in detail as to what those stereotypes might be.

It's impossible to counterpoint an argument when the main point is "It's bad."

Freaknik was amazing. Aside from being funny, it was also original and stood it's ground in the cartoon world. Yall need to quit hatin. The only thing that perpetuates stereotypes is when people can't laugh at the jokes. Real talk.

Freaknik: The Musical, unfortunately there are far worse examples of "blaxploitation" that should embarrass us as a culture.

Comparing Freaknik to the Boondocks, Freaknik is like the popular hiphop/r&b music culture that saturates the air waves of urban music stations. The shallow, materialistic, mindless culture that is advertised to America on a daily basis.

The Boondocks is that other kind of hiphop music that isn't hitting the charts, what we hear and hear of through other peopleand independent sources.  The real, unsugar coated and iced out hiphop music that contains actual substance, skill and originality to produce.

In my opinion, there wasn't much to be offended by with Freaknik. Of course, this is coming from a person that was really looking forward to That Crook'd Sipp' becoming an [adult swim] series. 

Really, Freaknik is merely a weak a-- consolation prize featuring the voice of Autotone/T-Pain.

please stop saying african americans lol.  I'm not from africa.  i was born in baltimore maryland.  I'm black.  not african.  If someone is white I don't call them brittish or french, unless they were actually born there. If anything if you feel like 'trying' to be politcally correct, african is fine, but when you put the name of a country in front of american its like putting people in a different catagory.  If we live in the US we are americans. For every other race its different though like asians, you can say asian.  Don't ask me why its just the way it is lol.  And theres nothing wrong with freaknik why do so many people complain?  Its just jokes.  Its unfortunate that so many people see things on tv and movies.  hear things on the radio and such and then they think its all true.  But just because there are idiots in the world doesn't mean we should not be able to enjoy ourselves and laugh about things.  Nowhere in the show does anybody say that every black person acts like some of the characters on there.  But we all know that there are many that do.  Its just a reality that people should be able to deal with relatively easily if you ask me.  its all just jokes.

it's obvious you didn't get the show at all, it was a satire on the black community and made fun of it in no way. After I got done watching I told myself "I'm sure some black fools are going to be offended" I am black, and you and Steve Harvey need to stop trying to speak for the community as a whole. Actually just Steve Harvey. I found it funny how the show played on the ignorance of the black community and people still are too ignorant to see it.
