Archer DVD release date.

[ Edited ]

Hey all. The DVD release date is Dec. 28.

Looks like it's going to have some cool features including the original unaired Archer pilot, and unless they made two unaired pilots, this will be the one with Adam Reed voicing Archer.  I'm waiting to hear back from them to verify it.

Here's more details from   TV SHows on DVD

"Fox Home Entertainment has alerted retailers this morning that Archer - Season 1 is coming home on December 28th. The FX channel's hilarious animated espionage series will be declassified on 2 DVDs (308 minutes) with 10 episodes from the show's first season. In addition, the preliminary list of bonus material (might be subject to change) includes the Original Unaired Archer Pilot, an Unaired Network Promo, Deleted Scenes, a six-part "The Making Of Archer" Featurette ("3D", "Animation", "Art Direction", "Backgrounds", "Illustration" and "Storyboards"), plus Bonus Episodes (each one is the pilot episode) from FX programs The League and Louie. Video of the featured episodes will be in anamorphic widescreen, with audio in English 5.1 Dolby Digital and subtitles in English, French and Spanish. Cost is $29.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$37.98 SRP in Canada. This has only been announced for DVD format; no Blu-ray version is currently on the schedule. Box art isn't available yet for this title, but stay tuned!"

i associate jon benjamin with archer now. it'd be weird to hear adam reed providing that voice now. i'm just gonna think of that version as another long lost crews brother.

I sort of jumped the gun with my assumptions. Apparently there was more than one version before the final one that aired. He did voice Archer on one, but it's not the extra one on the DVD.
