Who would win in a battle to the death? No running away.

Ed he blows up the ground causing smoke/dust/whatever to surround the area, makes a spear blade, slashes Mustang's gloves and then his throat, or he just transmutes a giant fist to punch Mustang miles away.![]()

Fullmetal vs.. Flame
in the first series..
**Spoiler**
really just a draw...
But a fight to the the absolute death?
probably mustang if he doesn't have any flashbacks
Plus you would never be able to get Edward to kill him EVEN if he did get the upper hand....

Well, in the manga, it was not a draw.
The fight between Mustang and Edward was pretty much the same as the first series until Mustang's right glove was slashed.
In the anime, Mustang revealed his left glove and fought Edward to a tie.
In the manga, Mustang revealed his left glove and roasted Edward to victory.
So going by the manga canon, Mustang would easily defeat Edward.
