Its almost like its exaggerated!  Its also almost like a certain person can't tell the difference and flew off the handle with overreactions!

I'm reminded of another member of another forum I visited one time when I tried to explain to them that anime ARE cartoons!

Couldn't be done.

He just can't tell the difference between violence that is not supposed to be taken seriously and real violence.

Wow.  Having two kinds of violence in anime is NOT common at ALL.

Ending discussion.

I guess I should be grateful that this discussion made it to Page 15, though it was on the backs of some of the worst character-hate I've seen in a long time!

Yes, FMA:B is full of slapstick comedy! I thought it was really funny the first time I saw it, although it's aged considerably in this 2011-12 re-air of Season 1.

RanIsa is a girl, not a guy, so I can see where she's coming from when she says that some characters are rather brutal in their treatment to Ed and Al

That being said, I don't agree with her critiques of these supposedly brutal characters like Winry and Izumi. It's slapstick comedy at its finest!

However, as silly as it may seem to us, she is entitled to her opinion, and some of the stuff y'all have said in response to her has caused her to not want to discuss this show with us anymore next year.

Just thought you should know.

This Saturday Night, on [adult swim]: TOONAMI'S BACK, BlTCHES!! A New Bleach Episode (255) kicks us off at Midnight, followed by the SERIES PREMIERES of Deadman Wonderland at 12:30 and Casshern Sins at 1! Then, we've got 3 back-to-back classics: FMA:B Episode 32 "Fuhrer's Son" at 1:30, followed by GITS: 2nd Gig at 2 and Cowboy Bebop at 2:30! Also, watch lots of [as] ACTN shows including Durarara!!, The Big O, and more online any time you want at http://video.adultswim.com/action/index.html

Elsewhere: New season of ThunderCats continues Saturday at 9:30 AM on CN! Avatar: The Legend of Korra continues Saturdays at 11 AM on Nickelodeon!

Wow, almost no discussion tonight ever, and for just 12:30!

It's such a trip to hear Chris Patton's Greed. Apparently he didn't quit the biz either; he was just replaced by Troy Baker later on. And I don't even know for sure if the Japanese version has 2 different Greeds...
