Bio: Lan Fan is the personal bodyguard to Xing Prince Ling and granddaughter to his other bodyguard Fu. She doesn't like when someone insults her prince as seen when Al made fun of him when finding out he was a prince and will go into a rage. In a fight (Ling & Lan Fan vs. Wrath & Gluttony) she sustained an injury to her left arm which caused her to cut it off. When she met back up with the Elrics, she received treatment from Dr. Knox (then eventually at his home since the hideout they were in was attacked and destroyed by Gluttony). While there, her grandfather slaps her for losing her arm put also grives since this happened to his grandchild. Fu is greatful but refuses to give Lan Fan an automailed arm in protection of the people (Winry and Pinko) who would do the procedure from King Bradley and promises to find their own mechanic. They soon leave the city for Xing.
