Has anyone here seen all the OVAs?

1. Blind Alchemist (Ed and Al centric)

2. Simple People (Winry and Riza centric)

3. Tales of the Master (Izumi centric)

4.  Yet Another Man's Battefield (Roy and Hughes centric)

Your adult logic can't penetrate my teenaged Freshman mind. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go have unprotected sex while polishing off a keg of beer as I drive a car that's blasting obnoxious music on the radio all while updating my Facebook page.

I've seen 2, 3 and 4.  I like 3 the most, but the last few minutes of 4 are pretty **beast** amazing.

Yeah, I've seen them all. Hopefully FUNimation will dub and release them soon.
I don't know what's real from the noise, the noise.
I can't hear a thing for the noise, the noise.
I wouldn't do anything, the thunder that throws me away.
I wouldn't do anything, there's something that keeps me away.
I wouldn't do anything, something that begs me to stay.
I wouldn't do anything, something that throws me away.

No; I've abstained from seeing them online, as I want at least one of my Brotherhood purchases to be fresh upon viewing. :smileytongue:

seen 'em all.  They should be dubbed and aired.

I haven't seen them yet, but just judging from the episode lengths, it seems two of them could be squeezed into a 30-minute timeslot, while the other two would need extra commercials and other content to make it to 30 minutes.  Perhaps [as] could throw on some outtakes, as heard in the DVD's, to fill up the time.

This Saturday Night, on [adult swim]: TOONAMI'S BACK, BlTCHES!! A New Bleach Episode (255) kicks us off at Midnight, followed by the SERIES PREMIERES of Deadman Wonderland at 12:30 and Casshern Sins at 1! Then, we've got 3 back-to-back classics: FMA:B Episode 32 "Fuhrer's Son" at 1:30, followed by GITS: 2nd Gig Episode 17 "Red Data" at 2 and Cowboy Bebop Episode 15 "My Funny Valentine" at 2:30! Also, watch lots of [as] ACTN shows including Durarara!!, The Big O, and more online any time you want at http://video.adultswim.com/action/index.html

Elsewhere: New season of ThunderCats continues Saturday at 9:30 AM on CN! Avatar: The Legend of Korra continues Saturdays at 11 AM on Nickelodeon!

I hope that whenever they give us the OVAs on dvd, they include the 4Koma theaters.  There's only like 16 of them and they barely break 2 minutes each.  Unfortunately none of the skits are from the manga, but are still pretty funny.  Nothing matches the manga's 4komas.  Worth buying the books just for those.

What exactly is a 4Koma? Those sound like they would be perfect time-filler after each episode of the OVA!

Here's how you do:
OVA EP @ 1 AM
Commercial Break
3-5 4Koma's
Commercial Break

Only downside is we're still not sure if any of these extras will ever be dubbed...

The 4-panel (koma) vertical comedy comics Arakawa puts at the end of each manga volume.  Bones did a bunch of their own in a similar style (except animated) for the JP dvds but with really "lazy" (on purpose) animation and with voice acting.

If you're familiar with K-On, Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh, their respective manga are done in 4Koma style.

Wait... "Brotherhood" has OVA's too? Where to they fit into the plot of the story? I understand that OVA's aren't canon per se, but I still can't help but wonder.

Yes, I am aware that Winry is not an alchemist; I just like the ring the name had to it. :smileywink:

Yes, it does. I've now seen 3 of the 4 mini-episodes, and without spoiling too much, they either take place earlier in the storyline or are flashbacks to events that happened well before Saturday night's episode.

I'm waiting for a more economical series boxset including all the OVAs before I start buying this series.
