Who would win in a battle to death? No running away.

If Sloth gets a single hit in he probably wins. The thing is his accuracy is awful when actually using his speed, I guess I'd go Mustang...

Roy. All Sloth has going for him is speed and regeneration; he's uncoordinated and dumb as a brick. Roy killed Lust, curb-stomped Envy, and has years of combat experience and military training.

I can't hear a thing for the noise, the noise.
I wouldn't do anything, the thunder that throws me away.
I wouldn't do anything, there's something that keeps me away.
I wouldn't do anything, something that begs me to stay.
I wouldn't do anything, something that throws me away.

If Roy could dodge Brotherhood Sloth's attacks, then he wins.

Roy loses to First series Sloth.

Unless Roy is hit once.  Then he dies.  And I'll say that if you simulate 1000 battles, in at least half, Roy is probably going to get hit.

It could very easily go either way.

And just like everything else you've brought up.  There is no true correct answer.

It is the same thing as saying that Krillin can be Goku if he hits him with the destructo disk. Yes, anybody can beat anybody. But we are looking for the most likely choice. 99.999999999% of the time, Goku wins.

99.999999% of the time, Roy would beat Sloth. Same way he defeated Envy.

How do you know Roy beats Sloth 99% of the time?  We never saw them fight.  We don't know if Roy's reflexes are fast enough to dodge an attack by Sloth.

Because it's obvious. :smileyindifferent:

Match starts. Ding Ding Ding.

Sloth says "What a pain."

Roy Mustang snaps fingers. Dead Sloth.

Not really if you actually stop to think about it.

Sloth took that tank shell to the head and it really didn't faze him that much or at all.  He seems to have better defense than your average Homunculi.  Roy's flames wouldn't kill him for a long time.  And I don't think they would stop him from moving and attacking.  So Roy would then need to dodge a flaming Sloth.

Roy's Flame Alchemy is much more powerful than a tank shell.

His Flames have stopped every homunculus from attacking. It stopped Lust, and it stopped Envy. Fire hurts way too much.

Sloth is toast.

Lust and Envy seemed to take pain and punishment just the way a human would.  Sloth doesn't.  I don't know if his nerves are dull or what.  But no other Homunculi would have been able to either withstand that shell without getting their head blown off or thrown across the room by the force of it.

So saying that fire hurts too much doesn't seem to apply to Sloth.  He takes pain even other Homunculi would cringe at and merely grunts.

Roy's flames wouldn't kill him right off the bat.  He would heal up.  And if a tank shell isn't slowing him down, Roy's flames wouldn't be able to either.  They would hurt him, but not slow him down.  If Sloth went right for Roy and Roy, instead of dodging the attack, used his flames, he dies.  Sloth is going super fast.  I don't know his exact speed.  100 mph, I don't know.  Roy's flames would be unable to slow Sloth's inertia.  So even if Sloth was knocked unconscious, his body would still fly at Roy at that speed.  An unconscious Sloth would kill Roy at that point.

Now you think a tank shell is stronger than Roy's Flame Alchemy?

You think a tank shell isn't?
