The one that actually freaks me out the most is Gluttony. Being slowly eaten by a giant thing with blunt teeth would be a pretty horrible way to die.

This is a tough list to make but this is what I'm going with right now:

1. Pride

2. Wrath- not even Mustang could beat him because of his fighting skills; has the best fighting skills even though he's not technically the strongest

3. Envy/ Lust- about even since it took Mustang's power to defeat both of them

4. Greed

5. Sloth/Gluttony

I'm surprised that Gluttony is rating so low on people's lists.  In terms of single attack power, Gluttony beats all of them.  His true form is able to instantly consume anything from a good distance.  Since Envy was beaten by it quite easily, it stands to reason that all the Homunculi would be consumed just as easily if Gluttony was able to target their Philosopher's Stones.  Granted single attack power isn't everything, which  is why I rated him lower on my list, but I gave him a higher spot because his power can't be denied either. 

Pride possesses a similar technique (shown when he absorbed Gluttony) and is able to exert more control and precision in it, which caused me to rate him (along with the rest of his shadow powers) as the strongest).  Granted the strongest often come with the most weaknesses.  But this list wasn't created to take weakness into consideration.

Well, while Gluttony does have his 1 Hit KO move, he is still the weakest. Envy was never shown to be afraid of Gluttony's 2nd mouth, and he never ever reacted like ¨Oh, I better be out of Gluttony's way, so he won't accidently consume me.¨ He didn't seem scared of it one little bit. Envy was only embarrased that he got eaten. Kinda like how a big brother would be embarassed that a little brother beat him in something. That tells me Envy and the other homunculi know how to deal with Gluttony's 2nd mouth. 

I am glad that you put Pride as the strongest. I mean, Pride should be the strongest on everybody's list since Pride and other characters mention that Pride is the strongest homunculus. I think fanboyism leads to people putting Wrath as the strongest.

To me, Pride and the Ultimate Homunculi (Lust, Wrath, and Greed) are the Top 4. Sloth is like a stronger version of Gluttony, and Envy is pretty powerful in his beast form.

I mean, let's face it. I don't think Edward and Alphonse can beat ANY of the homunculi. Lust would have destroyed Alphonse. They were having a hard time with Gluttony. Ed got his butt kicked by Envy's monster form. Greed would win too since all Greed needs is 1 good shot through the stomach. There is no way they can beat Wrath. Ed only beat Pride because of Pride's container being destroyed by the human transmutation. They would probably have an even harder time beating Sloth.

The only homunculi that the Elric Brothers might have a chance in defeating is Gluttony and Sloth. The rest, no way.

Really?  Because Envy's original plan once he was swallowed was to wait until his Stone ran out, and then die.  Once you're swallowed the only way out would be to open the Portal.  The only way the other Homunculi would "deal with it" would be to simply stay out of range.  Which could be said of any attack.

I think they're probably taking Pride's obvious weakness into consideration.  Without shadows, he's powerless.  But if shadows are present, he's everywhere, able to attack anywhere and at any time.  And you can't really defend against a shadow that is able to hurt but you can't really hurt it. And I think they merely forget Wrath's weakness.  Sure, his Eye can always show him your weakness giving him the upper hand, but if he can't see you, his Eye doesn't work.  Granted, his skills are still superb but based on a human body and the limited movements and actions that it can do. 

I don't think much of Envy.  His beast form merely adds sheer brute strength and an increased range for his attacks.  He doesn't gain other attacks, his physical blows are just stronger and still avoidable.  I think Envy would lose to all the other Homunculi.  His strength is in espionage and subterfuge.  Which is why, even at the end, he still tried to turn everyone against each other. 

Ed and Al couldn't do much against the Homunculi in straight-up combat.  They're not bad at it.  But they're not top-tier, which is what you would need to be to take on any of the Homunculi.  Mustang was top-tier.  WHich is why he was able to go up against multiple Homunculi.  The Bros. could MAYBE take on Sloth and Gluttony.  If they could neutralize Sloth's speed, I could see a possibility.  Gluttony would have to be purely ranged attacks.  And that's assuming the Homunculi were confounded by the Bros. first strategy against them.

The top 3 are definitely the three strongest, the other 4 are kinda similar in rank as far as I'm concerned. I'll admit Gluttony could eat Greed, Envy, or Sloth and defeat them rather easily but that's the only way and they'd have to be pretty stupid to allow it.

Finally!!!! You are the only person with the correct answer.

Pride is the strongest. The Ultimate Homunculi are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. And then the other homunculi are next.

You are the best!!

You are not blinded by Wrath's badassery by putting him stronger than Pride even though it has been stated that Pride is the strongest. However, some people still put Wrath as the strongest for some dumb reason. 

You put the Ultimate Homunculi as the next strongest. Which is true. These three homunculi are pretty much the Ultimate Evasion, Ultimate Attack, and Ultimate Defense.

The last three are rather obvious. Envy is stronger than Sloth who is stronger than Gluttony.

I am also glad you are not blinded by Gluttony's One Hit KO move. Yes, Gluttony can One Shot all the homunculi. But like you said and I agree with. They would have to be pretty stupid to allow that to happen.

And also, whenever Gluttony fights, Gluttony never activates his Fake Gate of Truth. Only when he gets angry. Before that would even happen. all the other Homunculi would have been kicking his ass already. 

Pride, Wrath, and Lust would have been slicing him over and over until he died. All the other homunculi would do something similar.

I have to admit Wrath actually is easily my favorite character in the entire series though. I think Pride would still win against him, but considering that scene at Pride's defeat where the last people he thinks about are Mr. and Mrs. Bradley I have to wonder if the two would ever actually fight each other say, for example, if Father ordered it for some reason or something.

You could be said to be blinded as well by an obsession with the Ultimates. 

While Pride is the strongest, the only Homunculi which would be ranked higher solely because of his Ultimate Technique would be Wrath.  Being able to see an enemies weaknesses is devastating.  Lust isn't even that special.  Her Spear is strong but it's not an unavoidable attack and she has nothing else besides that.  Greed's shield doesn't make him strong.  It only gives him a strong defense, one which has been proven to fail when attacked by someone like Wrath.  A strong defense doesn't translate into strength since there is no power to back it up. 

And I'm not blinded by Gluttony's one hit KO.  I did rank him 5th, after all.   I merely think it gives him a boost under certain conditions.  If he wanted to, he could activate it at the start of the fight.  You're getting too hung up on what happened in that one fight he had.  Envy's only real physical strength comes from him growing bigger and trying to crush you.  Easily avoidable.  And what you said about a Homunculi being pretty stupid to allow themselves to be swallowed by Gluttony could apply to any attack by any of the Homunculi.  It'd be stupid to fight Pride in an area that has shadows.  It'd be foolish to fight Wrath straight up without using some stealth move to finish the fight before it began.  You'd be an idiot to get within range of Lust's fingers.  Every one of their moves could be countered with a little strategy.

You actually ranked Gluttony 4th. You put him higher than Sloth, Greed, and Envy. Heck, you even put Sloth above Greed.

And there is a reason Wrath, Greed, and Lust are called the Ultimate Homunculi.

I agree the most with BUU8800. Only difference is I have Lust 2nd and Wrath 3rd while he has Wrath 2nd and Lust 3rd.

You got me there.  I hadn't really looked back to what I originally put.  Of course I put Sloth over Greed.  What offensive power does Greed have?  None.  Original Greed had a poor fighting style and lost fairly quickly to Wrath.  The second Greed was better offensively, but that's simply because he inherited Ling's fighting prowess.  A great defense is a good thing, but you can't win fights simply with a strong defense.  Explain how Greed beats everyone who you say is worse than him. 

What's the reason?  Because there wasn't a stated reason within the series for the whole "Ultimate" thing.

Yeah, it's my opinion.  But then you said all answers but the one you like is wrong.

Actually, Greed has strong offensive power. He took out all the tanks and soldiers. And best example of his power, with his Ultimate Shield hand, he punched right through Bido.

Well, the first Greed had a pretty good fighting style. He was able to easily block all of Edward's punches. 

For victories:

Heck, he could beat most of the homunculi.

He goes Ultimate Shield and clobbers Gluttony and Sloth. Same with Envy. Envy might go full power, but Greed can just run around and cut him with his Ultimate Shield Claws. Gluttony and Sloth can't hurt Greed, and neither can Envy. 

Pride, Lust, and Wrath can beat Greed. Although, Wrath won't be able to hurt Greed if he goes full Ultimate Shield. But Wrath is too fast for that. Same with Lust. If their Ultimate Shield and Spear would collide, the Universe would explode. Universe can't compute.

Pride can't cut Greed. But I suppose Pride can hold down Greed until Greed taps out or something.

Ultimate means best. Lust has the best offensive Power. Greed has the best defensive power. Wrath has the best evasive power.

I guess I can toss a comment, but I'll say that I don't really take an interest in discussing power levels.  Every fight and situation is different, so it is hard to really judge.

Though I do want to point out that the point out that the notion that Pride's Shadows can't be affected is wrong, since Edward was able to block them with his automail arm.

I wanna see a fight between all the manga Homunculi and Alucard. And, to keep it interesting, I'd like to propose a one-time ultra move on Alucard's part - if he is eaten by Gluttony, the blood he'd be able to drink inside the false Gate would give him the power necessary to escape to the real world...once.
